Shirley Timm

| May 25, 2024 5:40 PM

Shirley Timm, 83 at time of death, of Moses Lake, passed away at her daughter’s home in Alabama on Feb. 15, 2023. She was born Shirley Marx on May 18, 1940, in Dickinson, N.D., where she was raised and graduated.

She was a nurse until she married Frank Timm in 1962. They started their family and moved to Moses Lake in 1967, where they raised their three children. She worked at Sunspice until she retired.

After retirement, she and Frank traveled the country by RV, visiting family and seeing new places, collecting magnets and bells from the states and sites they visited.

Shirley loved her sweets so you always knew one of her baked goodies, ice cream and candies would be on hand.

After Frank died, Shirley moved in with her daughter, Nancy, in Alabama. She spent the remainder of her life around grandkids, great-grandkids, and great-great-grandson. She got great joy from babies, watching them laugh and learn to roll over, crawl and walk, which she got plenty of with two babies around her. She got to do new things like attending a Shen Yun performance, which she greatly enjoyed and going to an alligator refuge. She loved watching sunsets over the water at the bay.

Shirley was preceded by her husband, Frank, and her son, Mark. Her daughter, Sondi, passed away after her death.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Nancy; eight grandkids Jamie, Gina, Justin, Jordyn, Jared, Tony, Brandi and Ryan; nine great-grandkids Natasha, Shadae, Makayla, Aiden, Olivia, Alex, Matthew, Roman and Letti; great-great-grandson Devin; and sister Kathy.

A graveside service will be held for Frank and Shirley at Pioneer Memorial Gardens on May 29 at 10:30 a.m., where their ashes will be laid to rest with their son, Mark.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
