COLUMBIA BASIN — The spring sports season comes to a close this week, with state championship events being held in baseball, boys soccer, golf, tennis, track and field and softball.

    Moses Lake junior Adrian Martinez lays down a bunt during a game against Davis. The Mavericks won both league and district titles this spring, culminating in an appearance in the 4A State Baseball Tournament.

    Almira/Coulee-Hartline freshman Grace Okamoto swings at a pitch during a game against Wellpinit on March 26. The Warriors finished the year with an 18-5 record, winning the Northeast 1B district championship.

    State track and field championship meets begin on Thursday, with the Ephrata Tigers competing in 15 total events at the boys and girls meets in Tacoma.
