FUNDING and MEETING NOTICE Grant County, Washington has been awarded federal funds, through the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)/Federal Emergency Management Agency under the Emergency Food & Shelter National Board Program under in the amount of $56,212.00. A Local Board comprised of nine non-profit and governmental organizations will determine how the funds awarded to Grant County are to be distributed among the emergency food and shelter programs run by local service providers in the county. The Local Board will meet on Wednesday April 17, 2024 at 11:00 am, through a Webinar meeting to review funding requests and allocate funds. Under the terms of the grant from the National Board, local organizations chosen to receive funds must: 1) be a private voluntary non-profit organization or unit of government, 2) be eligible to receive federal funds, 3) have an accounting system, 4) practice nondiscrimination, 5) have demonstrated the capability to deliver emergency food and/or shelter programs, and 6) if a private voluntary organization, have a voluntary board. Qualifying organizations are encouraged to apply.
