Ephrata PD

March 13

Report of a vehicle stolen in the 400 block of Basin Street Northwest. 

Report of a vehicle damaged overnight in the 200 block of E Street Southwest.

Report of a residential burglary in the 1200 block of D Street Southwest. A welder was stolen from inside the garage.

Report of a two-vehicle collision on SR 282. Vehicle 1 passed vehicle 2 westbound but did not allow enough time to get back into the westbound lane and struck vehicle 2, smashing the driver’s side window and damaging the mirror. Vehicle 1 continued and was contacted by the Grant County Sheriff’s Office. Vehicle 2’s driver and a passenger sustained minor injuries.

March 14

Report of burglary at an apartment in the 400 block of Basin Street Northwest.

March 18

Report of a vehicle prowl in the 1200 block of D Street Southwest. Computer parts and about $20 in loose change were taken.

Report of a cougar sighting near Columbia Ridge Elementary School. Students were secured in the building and the area was checked. There was no sign of a cougar and no substantiating reports.

Report of damage to a sprinkler line.

Leilani Mae Ibsen, 60, Electric City, booked on a Grant County District Court warrant relating to fourth-degree assault – domestic violence.

Natividad Barajas Cisneros, 61, Mattawa, booked on violation of a protection order and resisting arrest.

March 16

Dominick Urzua-Flores, 23, Quincy, booked on a one-day commitment for DUI.

March 17

Elaina Gabrielle Padron, 25, Moses Lake, booked on second-degree assault – domestic violence.

Jorge Reynoso Solis, 50, Mattawa, booked on third-degree malicious mischief – domestic violence.

March 18

Jose Alberto Loera, 42, Ephrata, booked on attempted residential burglary.

Kylie Emmajean Biles, 23, Moses Lake, booked on possession of a stolen vehicle.

John Michael Bowers, 28, Harrington, booked on third-degree theft.

Donald Thomas Palmen, 39, Moses Lake, booked on a Grant County Superior Court warrant relating to vehicular assault and hit-and-run – accident-injury.

March 19

Diego Gonzalez Amado, 40, Mattawa, booked on DUI, as well as a Grant County District Court warrant relating to DUI.

Breanna Rodriguez, 21, Othello, booked on vehicular assault and hit-and-run.

Heather Nickole Chapman, 40, Coulee City, booked on fourth-degree assault – domestic violence, as well as Grant County District Court warrants relating to no valid operator’s license without identification, fourth-degree assault – domestic violence and third-degree theft.

Charles Bennett Mitchell, 55, Moses Lake, booked on fourth-degree assault – domestic violence.

Gage Francis Velpel, 33, Seattle, booked on fourth-degree assault – domestic violence.

March 14

Report of a vehicle on fire on East Ninth Avenue.

Report of a two-vehicle non-injury collision at South Garden Drive and East Ninth Avenue. Vehicle 1 merged into traffic and did not see vehicle 2 due to sunlight.

Report of a vehicle broken into on South Wanapum Drive. The driver’s side window was broken out and a purse with identification was stolen.

Report of shoplifting at a business in the 1000 block of North Stratford Road.

Report of a theft in progress at a business in the 200 block of East Broadway Avenue. Suspect returned merchandise when confronted.

Report of a vehicle egged and keyed in the 1100 block of North Stratford Road.

March 15

Report of a single-vehicle collision at North Grape Drive and Dale Road. Juvenile driver operating a vehicle on too little sleep fell asleep at the wheel, drove off the roadway and struck a power pole. No injuries were reported.
