Adams County broadband project on-track
Power lines follow West Bench Road southwest of Othello. Areas such as this that previously lacked high-speed internet coverage in Adams County will soon have the fiber-optic infrastructure to support increased coverage through the county’s ongoing broadband project.

Neighborhoods and subdivisions in Adams County, such as the pictured houses south of Othello off of West Bench Road, will benefit from the county’s $10.3 million grant to install infrastructure for high-speed fiber optic in Ritzville, Lind and outside of Othello’s city limits.
Adams County’s broadband project will be installing a fiber optic network in Ritzville, Lind and south of Othello, providing access to more than 2,800 residents over all three areas. Pictured are power lines that follow West Bench Road south of Othello.
RITZVILLE — According to Adams County Public Works Director Todd O’Brien, the county’s broadband project — which will bring a high-speed internet fiber optic network to areas of the county that previously lacked coverage — is on track and going well.
