MOSES LAKE — A Moses Lake man was arrested Thursday following a short pursuit near Moses Lake, according to a statement from the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.

Vernon Little, 45, was booked into Grant County Jail for investigation of felony eluding, according to the statement, and may face additional charges.

At about 11 a.m., a GCSO deputy spotted a Yamaha R6 motorcycle being ridden without a license plate on North Block Street in Moses Lake, according to the statement. The deputy attempted a traffic stop and the motorcyclist, later identified as Little, took off.

A short time later, deputies saw the motorcycle cutting through a field along Potato Hill Road, the GCSO wrote. Little then returned to county roads and ran the stop sign at the intersection of Road K Southeast and Baseline Road East, nearly colliding with a tractor. The motorcycle became disabled mechanically and Little was taken into custody without incident. The motorcycle had neither a license plate nor a vehicle identification number and was impounded.
