EPHRATA — The softball facilities Ephrata High School uses for its teams got an upgrade thanks to community support, according to an announcement from EHS.

“Our sincere thanks go out to the Tiger Boosters, Guardian Fence, the Ephrata Enforcers Softball Club and K&W Glass for their substantial donations in support of recent upgrades to the EHS Softball Complexes,” the announcement read.

The organizations teamed up to purchase new outfield home run fences for the EHS Softball Complex. K&W Glass removed the old roll-up garage doors that closed the window openings in the building at the site and provided and installed new glass windows.

The value of the donated fencing and windows exceeded $50,000 and provided improvements to parking lot fencing to the EHS Soccer Complex as well. That upgrade is expected to improve safety, the announcement said.
