RESPITE: provides temporary relief for unpaid caregivers by providing help with personal care tasks such as ambulation, bathing, body care, dressing, eating, personal hygiene, positioning, self-medication, toileting & transferring, plus assistance with essential shopping, laundry, housework, meal preparations, travel to medical services & wood supply for fuel for the participant/care recipient. Reimbursement rate for provided services is currently $39.24 per hr and changes only as the state rate changes. Monthly and/or quarterly reports with supporting documentation required. Contractors, agencies, & organizations must have a Home Care or Home Health license. Workers must receive health benefits, required background checks, caregiver training and certification.
