Robert “Bob” G. Bullis, 86, passed away peacefully in Othello, Wash., surrounded by many of his family members, March 1, 2024. He is now in the hands of his Savior, Jesus Christ.

Bob was born in Rochester, Minn., in 1937. His mother and father were Florence and Everard Bullis. Bob grew up in Wenatchee, Wash., and graduated from Wenatchee High School in 1955, where he participated in basketball and track. Bob attended Linfield College in McMinnville, Ore., and later received his bachelor of arts and master’s degrees from Eastern Washington University in Cheney, Wash. He also was on Eastern’s track team.

Bob loved teaching high school mathematics and coaching varsity boys and girls sports, most notably basketball, his entire career. After his teaching career, he worked as a real estate agent for eight years in Puyallup, Wash., followed by 3 years for the Seattle Mariners as a seating host.

High school sports, fishing, hunting, and exploring the mountains were his passions. He moved to Othello, Wash., in 2012 and thoroughly enjoyed watching his granddaughters play sports for the Othello High School Huskies. After their graduation, he continued to support the Huskies, attending many of the games.

Bob is survived by his wife of 68 years, Patricia Bullis; his four children, which include his son Jim Bullis (Mary), daughter Linda McTigue (Mick), son Don Bullis (Gina), and son Doug Bullis (Cheryl); as well as numerous grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and brother Jack Bullis.

Services for Bob will include a family graveside service in Othello, Wash., followed by a family memorial service later in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Othello High School Athletics.
