Feb. 21

Report of a vehicle prowl on Corporate Avenue Southeast. A truck window was broken out and a wallet stolen.

Feb. 23

Assisted Soap Lake Police officers with an attempted suicide in Soap Lake. When EPD arrived the scene was safe. The subject was put in an ambulance and taken to Columbia Basin Hospital.

Report of theft from a business in the 600 block of Basin Street Northwest.

Feb. 24

Report of a two-vehicle non-injury collision at Division Street West and A Street Southeast. 

Feb. 25

Report of a wallet lost at a business in the 1300 block of Nat Washington Way. A good Samaritan later found and returned the wallet.

Feb. 26

Report of a vehicle windshield damaged with a BB gun on Basin Street Northwest.

Feb. 27

Report of an attempted burglary at a business in the 10 block of Basin Street Northwest. Unknown subject attempted to break open the metal gate to the business.

Report of a firearm stolen in the 1600 block of Basin Street Southwest.

Trisha Renee Merrill, 27, Moses Lake, booked on Grant County District Court warrants relating to third-degree theft and third-degree driving with license suspended, as well as a Department of Corrections warrant relating to second- and third-degree assault, a Spokane County warrant relating to second-degree theft and a Lincoln County warrant relating to third-degree driving with license suspended.

Danielle Olivia Garcia, 25, Ephrata, booked on a Grant County District Court warrant relating to third-degree malicious mischief – domestic violence.

Feb. 21

Report of a hit-and-run collision on Wheeler Road Northeast. A Green 2000s Dodge Ram pickup crossed the center line and collided with a Ford F250 work truck. The Ram continued eastbound on Wheeler Road. No injuries were reported but the Ford sustained damage to the driver’s side mirror.

Report of graffiti in the 1100 block of West Ivy Avenue.

Report of an attempted theft from a business in the 800 block of North Stratford Road. A subject attempted to push out a cartload of merchandise then fled on foot. Subject was taken into custody and permanently trespassed.

Report of shoplifting at a business in the 1000 block of North Stratford Road. Female subject admitted to concealing four pieces of jewelry in her purse and taking several items without scanning them. The merchandise was recovered.

Report of a paintbrush valued at $13.99 stolen from a business in the 600 block of South Pioneer Way.

Feb. 22

Report of drugs left in a rental vehicle. Law enforcement collected the items for destruction.

Report of merchandise valued at $49.12 stolen from a business in the 1400 block of East Yonezawa Boulevard. Loss prevention stopped the subject and recovered the items.

Report of a vehicle prowl in the 3000 block of West Marina Drive. A firearm was stolen.

Report of burglary at a business in the 1000 block of West Broadway Avenue.

Report of an overdose behind the Moses Lake Civic Center. EMS responded and transported the subject to the hospital.

Report of items including power tools, baseboard heaters and a tile saw stolen out of a shed on South Juniper Drive.

Feb. 23

Report of hit-and-run in a parking lot in the 900 block of North Stratford Road. Vehicle 2 was legally parked in a handicapped parking spot with a juvenile inside. Driver 1 was seen entering a large black SUV and backing the vehicle into vehicle 2, which sustained minor damage.

Report of a two-vehicle non-injury collision at East Third Avenue and South Pioneer Way.

Report of a vehicle prowl in the 100 block of West Broadway Avenue. A backpack was taken from the vehicle.

Report of theft at a business in the 1000 block of North Stratford Road. Female subject was caught on camera and contacted by law enforcement as she left the store.

Feb. 24

Report of a plastic bag containing a white substance found at Blue Heron Park. Substance was found to be sugar.

Report of theft at a business in the 1200 block of Pioneer Way South. Merchandise was recovered and the subject was trespassed.

Report of a vehicle prowl on West Marina Drive. Change and paperwork, including the vehicle’s registration, were stolen form the glove box.

Report of theft from a business in the 1000 block of North Stratford Road. Subject switched tags on merchandise and left the store without paying for the full value. Subject was contacted via traffic stop and trespassed.

Report of a cart full of merchandise pushed out of a business in the 900 block of North Stratford Road. Subjects were detained and merchandise was recovered.

Feb. 25

Report of merchandise valued at $390 stolen from a business in the 600 block of South Pioneer Way.

Report of a two-vehicle non-injury collision in the 500 block of East Wheeler Road. One vehicle sustained damage to the front left bumper, light and hood; the other to the passenger side door and wheel well.

Report of alcohol stolen from a business in the 1100 block of North Stratford Road.

Report of a vehicle stolen on West Sixth Avenue. The reporting party said that her son had driven the vehicle two days previously and possibly left the keys in the vehicle. The reporting party’s son was arrested in the vehicle by Grant County Sheriff’s deputies and the vehicle was impounded pending a search warrant.

Report of three juveniles spray-painting a fence in the 900 block of West Central Drive. Graffiti was Norteño gang-related.

Report of merchandise valued at more than $200 stolen from a business in the 1000 block of North Stratford Road.

Report of a hit-and-run in the 400 block of East Third Avenue. The victim vehicle was legally parked and unoccupied.

Feb. 26

Report of chicken wings and makeup stolen from a business in the 600 block of South Pioneer Way.

Report of an overdose in the 300 block of South Pioneer Way. Law enforcement administered Narcan to the subject, who became awake and alert but declined further medical attention.

Feb. 27

Report of a utility trailer stolen on North Vista Drive.

Report that a male subject applying for a job at a business in the 2100 block of West Broadway Avenue had a small bag of drugs fall from his pocket. The male was gone when law enforcement arrived. The drugs were taken to be logged for destruction.

Report of food and dog treats stolen from a business in the 2700 block of West Broadway Avenue.

Report of theft from a business in the 600 block of South Pioneer Way.

Feb. 28

Report of a subject suffering from mental health issues who entered a business from which they had been previously trespassed in order to be arrested and go to jail. Subject was transported to Renew.

Report of a bike left on a GTA bus. Bike is described as a black BMX-style bicycle with red tires.

Report of a two-vehicle non-injury collision in the 600 block of North Stratford Road. Vehicle 1 attempted to change into the turn lane, which was already occupied by vehicle 2. 

Report of a vehicle vandalized on Road H Northeast. The rear seat and the ignition interlock camera were removed.

Report of a grinder and a drill stolen from a storage unit in the 1500 block of West Peninsula Drive.

Report of three pairs of AirPods stolen from a business in the 1000 block of North Stratford Road.

Report of graffiti on the Lower Peninsula Park boat launch.

Report of an overdose at a residence on North Evelyn Drive. The apartment owner was hostile and initially refused to allow law enforcement inside, but officers were able to gain entry and treat the victim until paramedics arrived.
