WA Connections Academy announces Grant Co. graduates
TUMWATER — The Washington Connections Academy, a tuition-free online public school that serves Kindergarten through high school seniors announced the graduation of four Grant County students this month.
This year’s class includes Jonathan Fitzgerald, Marcos Garcia Mejia, Lucius Hodge and Joshua Jakab.
Of the 2024 graduates of the academy this year, 31% intend to go to a two or four-year college, 15% to enter a vocational program and 17% indicated that they plan to go directly into the workforce, according to the announcement.
"Every graduation season brings an exciting opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our seniors and witness their journey towards success," expressed Jenn Francis, the executive director of Washington Connections Academy. "Through our tailored college and career initiatives, our seniors leave Washington Connections Academy empowered to navigate their paths independently and foster confidence as they embark on their journey towards a successful future."
