Dennis Olson

| June 27, 2024 3:05 PM

Dennis Olson, 69, of Moses Lake has passed away. He was born in Spokane, Wash., is preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Louise Olson, and his brother, Gary.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Rhonda Olson of Moses Lake, daughter Sheila and son-in-law Travis Smith of Bonnie Lake, Wash. Two beautiful grandchildren Brooklyn and Wyatt. Stepchildren Shannon Archer and Jaycen Rogers and niece Jenny Sanich and nephew Eric Olson. He also leaves behind many extended family members and very special friends.

Dennis graduated from Roger's High School in 1973, joining the Navy shortly after. He spent most of his tour in San Diego in dry dock. Not long after his discharge, he started his career with the phone company in Moses Lake and never left, retiring with 36 years of service. Oh, the stories to be told.

Dennis had the most amazing friends, some with him all through his school years. Anywhere Dennis went he knew someone, there was no such thing as a quick trip. You might try to run but best to embrace it. He always had a comment that would get your attention. He could talk your ear off. Dennis loved to travel, camp and boat. He loved his family but most of all he loved NASCAR races as long as he was in his big green chair in front of the big screen with the remote in his hand.
