Kathleen Powell Rodriguez

Kathleen (Kathy) Powell Rodriguez, passed away at her home May 26, 2024.  

She graduated from Grandview High School. She loved working around the farm and enjoyed raising and working with horses. She served as a 4-H Leader for many years, spending many weekends at horse show events with her kids. She loved participating and was involved in playing volleyball and other events with her children. She was a Grandview School Bus driver for several years as well as a driver for People for People in Moses Lake. 

She and Reuben shared a life together in Moses Lake for 40 years, owning and operating a heating and air-conditioning business. She worked as the office manager until a few years ago, but always enjoyed her customers as well as the many lifelong friends. 

She had a love for the beach, especially Lincoln City. When asked why, she stated that's where her family went when she was young. She sought to pass on that love to the rest of her family. She loved to watch the water and put her feet in the sand. We all have appreciated those memories over the years. 

She is survived by her loving husband, Reuben, children Julie (Doug), Jann, and Jill (Mike) and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Special thanks to Roxie, Lori, Margaret and Ray. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, R.E. and Juanita Powell, sister, Peggy Sanders, brothers Mike Hoyt and Richard Powell and daughter-in-law Connie Bailey.   

She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her. 

Thanks, Mom, for always being yourself and telling it like it is, no matter what! 

A Remembrance Service will be held at a later time.
