Gloria Jean Evans (née Lee, Falls, Loman, Heintz), 83, was born July 26, 1940, in Spokane, Wash., to Earl and Ruth (Muto) Lee. She was later adopted by Harvey Falls in 1947. She passed away in her sleep at Sacred Heart Hospital on July 23 after a years-long illness, just three days short of her 84th birthday.

Gloria graduated from Richland High School in Richland, Washington and was a proud Bomber. She went on to attend Kinman Business College. She worked in bookkeeping and as a teacher’s aide.

She met Lloyd “Max” Loman and they married in June 1959. They were blessed with two boys: Douglas Eugene and Dennis Craig. Max and Gloria made their home in Moses Lake and were married for almost 21 years when Max passed following complications from surgery.

Gloria then met and married Harold Heintz in Walla Walla in 1981. They were married until his passing in 1984.

Jim and Gloria met in 1987 and were married for 37 years. During her marriage to Jim, he encouraged her to pursue her interest in painting. She particularly loved floral painting and completed training and accreditation from Gary Jenkins and Bob Ross of public TV fame. She started Gloria’s Art studio and, with Thelma Sevey, taught classes throughout Washington, Idaho, Oregon and Montana. In her retirement years, she enjoyed attending Spokane Chiefs hockey games and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Gloria is preceded in death by her parents, husbands Max and Harold, two infant sisters, Leona Marie and Shirley Ann, and grandson-in-law Brent. Gloria is survived by her husband of 37 years Jim; sons Doug (Karene) and Dennis (Margaret); two stepchildren, Cammie (Charlie) and James; six grandchildren, Danielle, Stephanie, Carson, Kenzie (Trevor), Megan (Zac) and Jacob (Aly); and great-grandchildren Kaden, Kyler, Ellie and Hallie.

The family wishes to thank the Ark Valley Adult Family Home, Sacred Heart Hospital, and Hospice of Spokane for the wonderful care they provided Gloria in her final years.
