Joyce Marie Kitkowski

Joyce Marie (Rashford) Kitkowski, 73, passed away May 14, 2024, at Sunnyside, Wash., after a short illness. 

Joyce was born Dec. 9, 1950, in Yakima, Wash., to Loreta M. and Robert E. Rashford. She moved with her family to Moses Lake, Wash., and attended school in Moses Lake, Wash., graduating from Moses Lake High School in 1969. After high school, Joyce moved to Seattle, Wash., and graduated from ITT Peterson School of Business as a data specialist. Joyce was employed by SRO Theaters, U.S. West, Air Touch and Verizon. In August of 1983, Joyce married Edward Kitkowski and relocated to Pasco, Wash. She enjoyed cooking, bowling, reading novels, caring for her beloved cat named “T” and going for drives in her Cadillac.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, her mother, Loreta, and her stepson, Troy Kitkowski. Joyce is survived by her father, Robert E. Rashford of Moses Lake, her brother, Robert M. (JoAnn) Rashford of Moses Lake, her sister, Vicki (Tom) Geiger of Cheney, her brother, David (Marlene) Rashford of Moses Lake, 11 nieces and nephews and aunts, uncles and several cousins.

Services will be held at a later date. 

In honor of Joyce’s wish to help others, the Family suggests a donation in Joyce’s name to either the Virginia Mason Hospital Foundation or the American Brain Tumor Association.
