The reports below were provided by the sheriff’s office or police department indicated. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.


Moses Lake PD

July 12

Report that the subject was under the influence of fentanyl. Subject wanted help with addiction and was given a ride to Recovery Navigators.

Report of an assault that occurred at the business. Female had a split lip and was bleeding from the mouth. Victim stated she was the manager of the store. A homeless individual was standing outside loitering. Victim went outside to tell him to leave when the male punched her in the mouth and ran away. Located suspect and arrested him for assault. Male assaulted police in the process. Male was booked for assault of third and fourth degree in Grant County Jail.

The reporting party stated her vehicle was prowled sometime during the night. She woke up to go to work at around 4 am and noticed her vehicle was searched. She is missing $400 and two debit cards that she reported stolen. The reporting party was advised by the bank that her cards had not been used at the time she reported them stolen.

Hit and run collision occurred at the intersection of Stratford and Broadway. Vehicle one continued north and vehicle two followed until Deputy stopped vehicle one. Vehicle one was found to be driving under a suspended license 3rd degree and had no proof of insurance. Vehicle one was issued a citation for hit and run attended vehicle and an infraction for driving under a suspended license, No insurance and improper lane usage.

Report of a theft at Walmart. Police responded and contacted loss prevention. Police located the suspect and arrested the individual. Police returned the stolen product to the business.

Three-vehicle collision occurred on West Broadway Avenue approaching West Marina Avenue. All involved parties exchanged information at location and were provided a case number.

Unknown Hispanic male was harassing female employees inside the store. S left the store walking towards Motel-6. Subject was not located in the area.

Reported that a woman had left her purse in the bathroom at Department of State Health Services office and when she returned to get it the contents had been removed. Her medications were taken as well as a debit card. 

Single caller reported hearing shots near the church on West Oregon Street. Officers checked the area and did not locate anything.

July 13

Report of an animal attack. During the investigation, it was determined that the dogs escaped their fenced backyard by biting through the fence. The dogs ran towards a neighbor's house, jumped the fence into their backyard. One of the dogs attacked two dogs that were in the backyard killing one of them. The other dog did not appear to have visible injuries. The aggressor dog then jumped the fence leaving the backyard

and attacked a small dog that was being walked by its owner. The dog had injuries to its back. The aggressor dog was taken to the animal shelter for an aggressive dog hold. 

Reporting person was involved in a fender bender in the parking lot of Safeway yesterday. Reporting person stated the other driver came out and started kicking his own vehicle to make the damage worse. Police checked Safeway's video surveillance. The male individual used his foot to check the bumper without force.

Reported that a male individual was walking on the sidewalk exposing himself in front of Jack in the Box. Police trespassed him from the business.

Female suspect attempted to walk out of Safeway with a shopping cart filled with unpaid groceries. Suspect left the cart and groceries near the fuel station and was last seen by Jack in the Box. The store provided police with a voided receipt for items taken amounting to $713.55.

Report of a Physical Domestic in the parking lot of the Love's Truck Stop. Made contact with a couple who admitted to getting into an argument because they ran out of gas. Male splashed water on the wife and the wife threw ice on the husband. Couple was provided with a full tank of gas to get to their next destination in Spokane, WA.

Report of male subject slashing tires at West Broadway Avenue. Subject was contacted and booked into Grant County Jail. 

July 14

Report of a vehicle one backed into vehicle two that was parked on North Elder Street and East 5th Avenue.

Report of two-vehicle non-injury collision occurred on private property near Mattress Firm.

Report of a suspect came into the store and took several packages of T-shirts without paying. Suspect left and was later contacted. Suspect returned the shirts to the officer and was permanently trespassed from the store.

Report of a suspect passed all points of sale with a cart full of items worth $401.17. Suspect was stopped by Asset Protection and trespassed for 1 year.

Report of a two-vehicle collision on the private property parking area of the Gorge. Both drivers claimed they were struck by the other party involved.

July 15

Report of a fire started in homeless camps at Fairchild Cinemas. 

Report of a man arrested for driving under the influence on Kittelson Road. 

Report of 20 homeless loitering at Circle K. Police requested they move along. 

Report of a collision on City Street. Vehicle 1 and Vehicle 2 were turning left onto W Broadway Ave from the eastbound I-90 off-ramp. Vehicle 1 was a Peterbilt dump truck, towing a trailer. Vehicle 1 was in the left or inner left turn lane. Vehicle 2 was in the right or outer left turn lane. Vehicle 1 signaled for a wide turn and turned left and entered Vehicle 2's lane of travel. Vehicle 1 hit Vehicle 2 on the left, driver side and pushed the vehicle for about fifteen feet and turned Vehicle 1, ninety degrees. 

Report of a subject attempting to steal beer at Patton Park One Stop Mart. The subjects were located on Charles Road and told they were permanently trespassed from the business.

Report of 20 homeless fighting in Civic Park. Police responded but no one wanted to provide information related to any assaults. 

Units responded to East Hill Ave for first-degree burglary. The suspect was located at Civic Park, arrested, and booked into the Grant County Jail for first-degree burglary. 

Report of a male on drugs making a mess at city hall. He collected his belongings and left.

Report of a female concealing five bottles of alcohol in her pants and attempting to remove security tags at Rite Aid. 

Report of a male stealing $170 worth of hygiene products. Male later arrested and advised he was going to be charged. 

Report of theft of donuts from Walmart. Suspect was previously trespassed and charged with second-degree burglary and third-degree theft. 

Report of two shots fired. Officers searched the area and located two mortar tubes used for fireworks. Officers also spoke with a neighborhood resident who stated the noise sounded like fireworks, not gunshots.

July 16

Report of a vehicle broken into overnight and his firearm was taken from the vehicle. Firearm is a tan and black striped Glock 43X. 

Report of a dog digging under the fence into the neighbor’s backyard and the neighbor's dog killed. 

Report of someone entering One Stop Mart who was in the store two days prior and got into an altercation with the clerk. Clerk told the male to leave. Male returned to the store and left seconds after entering the store. Clerk working today believed she observed the outline or shape of a firearm under the male’s shirt.

Report of a two-vehicle collision on the city right of way. Vehicle two was in the outside lane and vehicle one was in the inside lane of travel. Vehicle one did not yield the right of way to vehicle two and merged into vehicle two's lane, striking him on the front left corner panel, causing reportable damage. Vehicle one sustained damage on the back right corner panel.

Report of a female arrested for second-degree assault – domestic violence and felony harassment. 

Report of a vehicle driving erratically on N Central Dr. Officers located the vehicle in the WinCo parking lot. The driver appeared to be disoriented, but he claimed it was due to being tired. The driver also advised he was experiencing vehicle problems. The drive was not impaired.

Report of a person riding his bicycle near North Buell Street when he was approached by another kid on a bicycle. The suspect started throwing gang signs at the reporting person then pulled out an approx 3" pocket knife and slashed at the reporting person. Reporting person described the S as a white male, possibly 11 to 12 years old, wearing a red hat, red or orange shirt and black shorts. If contacted, the reporting person would like the suspect to be identified so he can get an order. RP not interested in pursuing charges at this time.

Report of female and male known to shoplift from Safeway requesting them to be trespassed. Female was identified, male was not. 

Report of shots fired. Prior to the call Officers heard and visually observed a firework exploding from a distance. Officer checked the area, no evidence of shots fired.

July 17

Subject found cards in the trashcan and turned them into Circle K. Police took cards and attempted to contact owners.

Report of a man saying his cell phone was stolen from his vehicle sometime overnight. Man said the phone last showed near Econo Lodge. He did not want to pursue charges and later called and advised he located the phone.

Report of a theft at Walmart. Upon arrival the female was observed on camera, stealing items while in the store. The female was contacted after she passed the final point of sale. The female was previously trespassed and was booked in the Grant County Jail for Burglary in the second-degree and third-degree theft.

Report of theft in progress at Walmart. The suspect and victim were observed in the store shopping together. The suspect and victim were detained for theft. The suspect was identified by officers and found to be in violation of a domestic violence no-contact order with the victim. The suspect was arrested for domestic violence order violation. 

Theft from Safeway, the suspect was identified and needs to be trespassed from Safeway. 

Report of a traffic collision on North Dale Road. 

Report of a window broken on a reporting person’s vehicle. Nothing was stolen.

Report of traffic collision on West Crouse Street. 

The victim went to CJ Custom Meats to purchase meat. The victim reportedly offended the store owner and the suspect demanded him to leave. The suspect pushed the victim to the ground and assaulted the victim on the ground, after he reportedly punched in the groin. All parties declined medical treatment.

Report of a  collision on City Street. Vehicle one was stopped at Alder and Broadway, in the inner left turn only lane. Vehicle two was stopped in the right outer lane, and was turning left. When the light turned green. Vehicle one proceeded straight through the intersection hitting Vehicle two, as they were turning left.

Report of a cold robbery and vehicle theft on Broadway Avenue. Police located the stolen vehicle and suspect. Suspect was arrested and booked into Grant Co. Jail for first-degree robbery and theft of a motor vehicle. 

Report of a shoplifter at Walmart. Suspect is trespassed for two years from Walmart.

Report of a subject creating a disturbance at Safeway, manager requested subject to be trespassed. The suspect left prior to police arriving. 

Report of a Vehicle and tire collision on West Broadway Avenue. One vehicle towed from the scene. Minor injury reported.

Report of a four-vehicle collision blocking both southbound lanes of SR 17. 

Report of Vehicle one rear ended vehicle two while traveling east on W. Lakeshore Dr. approaching I-90 onramp.

Ephrata PD

July 12

Report of subject passed out in a vehicle on Division Avenue, subject left heading northbound. 

Report of an abduction, no other information provided. 

July 13

Report of cold fraud. Victim came to an agreement with the suspect on holding a box vehicle through Facebook Market. Victim gave the suspect $500 to hold the vehicle. Couple days later, the suspect was not answering the victims' phone calls. 

Report of verbal domestic on Ivy St. by 3rd party. Reporting person advised that the daughter was being threatened by her boyfriend. Suspect locked himself in the bedroom but eventually exited and was taken into custody. 

July 14

Report of a cold collision, her son was working the night shift at Safeway. When he left, he found a note on the car from a subject who admitted to backing into the truck. Reporting person provided photos and insurance.

Report that the suspect was at their location with a no contact order in place. Victim stated the suspect was not there, Police located the suspect inside. Suspect arrested and booked for violation of no contact order.

July 15

Vehicle was in the car wash and was exiting into the alley. Person told the police officer he could not see because of the sun and hit a utility pole. No damage on the utility pole but there was reportable damage on the vehicle.

Report of a wallet being taken out of the reporting person’s car and one of her cards being used at Burger King.

Report of a loud bang outside the reporting person’s residence and rear vehicle window shattered. Dent on the vehicle by the window pillar as well. 

Fireworks complaint; Lions Park. Shortly before receiving the report, fireworks could be heard in the area. Police located the firework remnants in the alley between the Cemetery; north of 5th Avenue South West. Burning remnants were extinguished.

July 17 

Report of theft at Crest Dr. RP of 20 gallons of fuel was siphoned from her friends truck that they were using. Theft occurred within the last day. Reporting person filled up the truck yesterday afternoon and noticed the fuel missing today.

July 15
