This photo was taken from the Umatilla Rock Trail which is roughly three miles long and passes by Perch and Dry Falls lakes in Sun Lakes Dry Falls State Park near Coulee City. Nearby trails also lead to Meadow Lake and Green Lake – look at a map ahead of time if you go. Timing may be an important consideration to think of where shade from various rises will be during yoru visit. Visiting a lake may be a good notion over the next week with most days predicted to be near 100 degrees.

Monday: Sunny and hot, with a high near 98. West wind 5 to 10 mph becoming south in the morning. Mostly clear evening, with a low around 65.
