The reports below were provided by the sheriff’s office or police department indicated. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Ephrata PD

June 27

Report of a person dumping cats in a parking lot in the 1300 block of Nat Washington Way. Reporting party told law enforcement the subject had told her he thought that was the correct place to dump animals. Reporting party provided the subject with the number for Animal Outreach and he said he would take the cats there. Subject left before law enforcement arrived.

Subject observed driving who was known to have a suspended license. Subject was stopped in an alley in the 100 block of C Street Southwest and cited. Subject was released with instructions not to drive. Subject and law enforcement pushed the vehicle to the subject’s address. 

Report of a dog closed in a vehicle looking hot. Dog’s owner had been contacted shortly before the call and the dog was fine.

Report of a hit-and-run in the 1300 block of Nat Washington Way. Reporting party, who was at work, noticed the damage about four hours into her shift. Video footage indicated the car had not been hit.

Report of a disturbance at a business in the 1700 block of Basin Street Southwest. Subject was upset that he had been charged for fuel but hadn’t received any. The incident was determined to be a misunderstanding. The subject was trespassed and advised to try a different station.

June 28

Report of an attack by two dogs in the 100 block of G Street Northeast. Owner was contacted and given a warning as well as options for fixing the issue.

Report of a hit-and-run on Basin Street Southwest. 

Report of a subject harassing customers at a business in the 300 block of Basin Street Southwest. Subject left on a bicycle before law enforcement arrived.

Report off a subject throwing rocks at cars in the area of A Street Southeast and Nat Washington Way. Subject said he was kicking rocks out of the road, not throwing them. Subject also had an open container, which he poured out.

Report of a card received in the mail that had a glittery white powder inside. The reporting party saw the powder and did not open the card. Item appeared to be a glitter bomb and was taken for destruction.

June 29

Report of an overdose on E Street Southeast. Subject was a little out of it but alert and able to answer questions.

Report of a dog locked in a vehicle in the 1100 block of Basin Street Southwest. Owners were contacted and said they were only in the store for a moment and were about to leave.

Report of a two-vehicle non-injury collision at Basin Street and Third Avenue Southwest. Vehicle 2 slowed to turn right into a parking lot. Vehicle 1 observed vehicle 2’s blinker, passed on the right and was struck.

Report of a stolen vehicle located in the 1300 block of Basin Street Southwest.

Report of a possible DUI on Basin Street Southwest. Driver was contacted and did not show signs of impairment.

June 30

Report of a subject who had previously been trespassed harassing customers at a business in the 300 block of Basin Street Southwest. The subject was charged but Grant County Jail refused to accept him.

July 1

Report of a bicycle stolen in the 300 block of Basin Street Northwest.

Report of a gun and $1,300-$1,400 missing from a residence. Reporting party advised that the landlords had come in without permission. Landlords told law enforcement they had been trying to contact the resident for several days, smelled something weird and decided to go in.

Report of two subjects trespassing in the 200 block of Nat Washington Way. Subjects were located and warned about trespassing. Reporting party thought the subjects had spray cans, which turned out to be energy drinks.

July 2

Report of a two-vehicle collision at Basin Street and Third Avenue Southwest. Vehicle 1 attempted to make a left turn on a solid green light onto Basin Street without yielding the right-of-way to vehicle 1, which was coming straight through the intersection.

Joel Rodriguez, 19, Moses Lake, booked on fourth-degree assault – domestic violence and third-degree malicious mischief.

Juan Gabriel Sereno Alba, 49, Quincy, booked on fourth-degree assault – domestic violence, first-degree robbery and interfering with reporting domestic violence.

Mikhail Anthony Mills, 27, Moses Lake, booked on second-degree malicious mischief, possession of a dangerous weapon, harassment and disorderly conduct.

Jorge Armando Bazan, 21, Ephrata, booked on third-degree assault, resisting arrest, obstructing a law enforcement officer, violation of an anti-harassment protection order and first-degree criminal trespass.

Tomie Rene Gonzalez, 25, Pasco, booked on first-degree robbery, as well as Grant County Superior Court warrants relating to second- and third-degree assault and second-degree possession of stolen property.

Michael John Antus, 54, Quincy, booked on DUI.

Report of a subject causing a scene at a business in the 800 block of North Stratford Road. Subject was contacted and permanently trespassed, but refused to sign the trespass form.

Report of a subject harassing staff at the Moses Lake Police Department. Subject was arrested.

Report of an ongoing issue with dogs barking at a residence on South Lakeway Drive. Owner was contacted and warned.

Report of a female subject causing a nuisance on the sidewalk at the intersection of West Valley and North Stratford roads. Officers checked the area and found the subject OK and sitting down on the sidewalk.

Report of a person falling in a parking lot in the 600 block of South Pioneer Way. Moses Lake Fire Department transported the person to Samaritan Hospital.

Report of a male who had been previously trespassed from a business in the 400 block of East Third Avenue returning to the business. Subject claimed law enforcement had told him all his trespass history had been lifted, but still left the property.,

Report of an ongoing issue with a dog running loose on North Crestview Drive. Law enforcement attempted to contact the owner without success. Neighbors identified the dog in Facebook photos on their property and near garbage cans.

Report of trespassers on private property on East Broadway Avenue. Subjects were trespassed at the owner’s request.

Report of a male subject rolling around on the ground at a business in the 500 block of South Pioneer Way. Subject left before officers arrived.

Report of a male subject who had allegedly smoked marijuana laced with methamphetamine. Subject declined medical assistance when MLFD arrived on the scene.

Report of a lawn mower stolen from a residence on West Neppel Street.

Report of a bicycle possibly stolen from a business in the 1000 block of North Stratford Road. Subject could not be located.

Report of an impaired driver in the 600 block of South Pioneer Way. Driver could not be located.

June 28

Report of a door kicked in at a residence on East Grace Taylor Street. Reporting party advised this has been an ongoing problem and the residence has been damaged three times already for an unknown reason. Unknown suspects have been kicking the door open, then fleeing in an unknown vehicle.

Report of a motorcycle accident in the 100 block of South Alder Street. Bystanders reported that the rider left before law enforcement arrived.

Report of a person who had been previously trespassed from a business in the 400 block of South Melva Lane returning to the business. Subject was issued a citation for first-degree criminal trespass.

Report of a male subject standing outside a business in the 2700 block of West Broadway Avenue all night and refusing to leave. Law enforcement trespassed the subject, who refused to sign the trespass form.

Report of a vehicle prowl on Winona Street. Two handguns were stolen.

Report of a community mailbox broken into and mail stolen on South Glenmoor Drive.

Report of a two-vehicle non-injury collision at South Pioneer Way and East Fifth Avenue. Suspect vehicle changed lanes in front of reporting party’s vehicle and scraped across the reporting party’s front bumper.

Report of a male subject doing drugs in the restroom of a business in the 700 block of North Stratford Road. When law enforcement arrived, subject was in the parking lot. Subject was trespassed.

Report of assault at a business in the 900 block of North Stratford Road.

Report of two bottles of lotion valued at $15.58 apiece stolen from a business in the 1000 block of North Stratford Road. Male subject concealed the items in his pants, then denied the theft to loss prevention and left.

Report of a female subject causing a disturbance at a business in the 600 block of South Pioneer Way. Subject was trespassed and left without further incident.

Report of two males in the dumpster at a business in the 700 block of North Central Drive. Both males told law enforcement they were unaware of the laws pertaining to dumpster diving, but left without incident.

June 29

Report of a two-vehicle non-injury collision on West Ridge Road.

Report of a burglary at McCosh Park. The latch to the lock on the storage sheds next to the basketball courts appeared to have been pried off. Reporting party believed that three canopies and a wagon were taken.

Report of an overdose on West Marina Drive. Law enforcement’s assistance was not needed.

Report of a break-in at a residence on West Pheasant Street. Unknown subject used a shovel to pry open the doors and windows of the residence, then stole several tools and left. The cost of replacing the doors and windows was estimated at $2,000.

Report of a two-vehicle non-injury collision at South Pioneer Way and East Nelson Road.

Report of a vehicle with a cracked windshield in the 200 block of East Ninth Avenue. Reporting party advised they had seen neighbors throwing rocks from the third-story balcony directly above the vehicle.

Report of a two-vehicle non-injury collision at South Division Street and West Third Avenue. Vehicle 1 pulled out of an alley and did not see vehicle 2 traveling north on Division. 

Report of a collision on North Buell  Street. Reporting party advised that the suspect intentionally rammed a vehicle parked in the driveway.

Report of two subjects trespassing at a business in the 1200 block of South Pioneer Way.

Report of someone screaming for help in the area of Arlene Road Northeast. Officers checked the area and determined it was young children playing.

Report of an unknown female subject entering a business in the 600 block of North Stratford Road and defecating inside the store.

Report of a male subject sleeping and unresponsive in a field in the 700 block of North Central Drive. Officers contacted the subject and determined that he was passed out from drug use, but a search turned up only drug paraphernalia. The subject declined medical assistance and advised he was just resting.

Report of a female subject walking in the roadway and yelling at cars in the 1200 block of South Pioneer Way. Subject was gone when law enforcement arrived.

Report of a DUI collision in the 4400 block of West Prichard Road.

Report of fireworks set off in the 3200 block of West Wapato Drive.

June 30

Report of a male from out of the area sleeping on the ramp outside the sleep center. Security told law enforcement that there were no rooms available, and law enforcement replied that the male had nowhere to go and would be staying there for the night, and to get him blankets and a shirt.

Request for a check on a subject at a business in the 1800 block of East Kittelson Road. Subject is a homeless vulnerable adult male with mental health problems, and known to officers. The business advised the subject could stay at the location as long as he did not disrupt business.

Request for a check on a subject sleeping on the sidewalk in the 400 block of East Nelson Road. Subject was fine and was advised not to block the sidewalk.

Report of theft from a business in the 600 block of South Pioneer Way. Tea, a Starbucks drink and vitamins were taken.

Report of an electric bike valued at more than $2,000 stolen on West Marina Drive.

Report of a subject being aggressive with employees at a business in the 500 block of South Pioneer Way. Subject was trespassed for 99 years.

Report of a subject entering a business in the 600 block of South Pioneer Way and behaving oddly, An employee asked the subject to leave and he spat on her.

Report of a cell phone stolen while its owner was in the restroom at his work. The phone was traced to a business in the 1000 block of North Stratford Road and recovered. 

July 1

Report of a subject refusing to leave a business in the 500 block of South Pioneer Way. Subject left when law enforcement was called.

Report of a possible squatter in a vacant residence on West Marina Drive. Residence was checked and no sign of anybody living there was found.

Report of a collision between a vehicle and a sign in the 4400 block of West Prichard Road.

Report of fuel possibly stolen from a vehicle on West Lakeside Drive. Reporting party advised that she had just filled the tank and not driven anywhere, but the gauge was registering only three-quarters full.

Report of theft from a business in the 500 block of South Pioneer Way. Female subject concealed items in her purse and left the store.

Report of a female subject screaming for help with no pants or underwear on at Civic Center Park. Subject requested medical assistance.

Report of subjects throwing fireworks out of a moving vehicle in the 200 block of East Broadway Avenue. Subjects could not be located.
