FIRE REPORT: Wildfire closes SR 17 near Ephrata
The terrain around the Dearinger Fire in the North Cascades has presented significant challenges for firefighters, but the blaze was 80% contained Monday.

EPHRATA — A fire broke out Tuesday in the northern portion of the Y formed by State Route 17 and State Route 282, according to first responder alerts.
