QUINCY — The Quincy School District announced that it has been informed that the Department of State Health Services will be providing grocery benefits to help families with school-age children buy groceries during the summer break in July and August.

The program, called Summer EBT or SUN Bucks will offer $120 per eligible child onto new cards that will be mailed to addresses on file for QSD students between July and August. Children will be eligible if they already receive SNAP, FDPIR, TANF or the household income meets the requirements for free or reduced-price school meals.

Those not in QSD’s service area may wish to contact their school district to inquire about summer food programs.
