Neil Christopher Montgomery

| January 24, 2024 1:48 PM

Neil (Chris) Montgomery, 51, passed away unexpectedly at home Jan. 10, 2024. Chris was born on Feb. 8, 1972, in Moses Lake, Washington to Donald and Sharon (Goehring) Montgomery.

Always one to do everything in his own time and in his own way, Chris’s choices may not have always been the easiest, but they certainly were the most adventurous. His strong will set an example to many of how important it is to believe in yourself and to follow your heart no matter what others might say. Never one to sit still, as a youth Chris played baseball, participated in Boy Scouts, loved swimming and his biggest love, of course, was music.

Chris had a big heart, especially for his family. They brought him his biggest joy and his greatest memories. Chris’s charisma and charm could take anyone’s bad day and turn it into a good day just simply by sharing his dance moves or one of his funny little sayings. Although he will be greatly missed and his absence will continue to be felt, he would remind us that is simply busy getting things ready for the joyous day when we get to see him again.

Chris is survived by his parents, Don Montgomery and Sharon Goehring, wife Teresa (Fix) Montgomery, daughters Ashley (Brad) Montgomery and Khloe Montgomery, grandsons Jerimiah and Ryan, sister Kim (Kirk) Jungers, nephew Tyler, niece Breanna, and all of Moses Lake.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
