Carolyn Jean Claffey (Bender)

A light has been taken from this world with the passing of Carlyn Jean Claffey (Bender), 74. She was born Aug. 17, 1950, and passed away Feb. 22, 2024. 

She was born in Toppenish, Wash. and moved to Quincy with her family in 1953. She attended Quincy schools and graduated from Quincy High School in 1968. 

She moved to the Lewis Clark Valley and owned and operated several restaurants after selling the business. Carolyn later moved to Ephrata to be close to her mom and managed apartments. She subsequently moved back to the Lewis Clark Valley to be near her family. 

She is survived by her mother, Anna Porter (Ephrata), brother John (Moses Lake), two sons Garry and Ricky (Lewis Clark Valley), and her two grandchildren, Trayton & Teegan (Lewis Clark Valley).
