Road Closure: A 7-day road closure from March 4th to March 11th along a portion of Grape Drive NE north of Maple Dr NE in Moses Lake, WA 98837. Closure will take place in order to install new water lines associated with a new subdivision. This road closure is requested due to the location and design of the water line, which is unusually deep in this location. Temporary full roadway closure will be required in order to safely complete the work required as the roadway in this location is narrow. Notice of Application - Date of Notice: February 27, 2024 - Notice is hereby given that a Discretionary Use Application and SEPA checklist were received by Grant County Development Services on February 12, 2024, from Day’s Enterprises, LLC, (Designated Contact: Daniel Leavitt, Western Pacific Engineering & Survey, 1224 S. Pioneer Way, Moses Lake, WA 98837) and were found to be Technically Complete on February 21, 2024. Grant County expects to issue a Determination of NonSignificance for this proposal, and the Optional DNS Process in WAC 197-11355 is being used. This proposal may include mitigation measures under applicable codes, and the project review process may incorporate or require mitigation measures regardless of whether an EIS is prepared. This may be the only opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposal and the proposed mitigation measures. A copy of the subsequent threshold determination may be obtained upon request. PROJECT: A Discretionary Use Application and SEPA Checklist to build an 80 feet x 225 feet steel building that will have 80 feet by 25 feet 2-story office space, 80 feet by 150 feet clear story shop space, and 80 feet by 50 feet clear story open space. Approximately 1900 cubic yards of material will be excavated and approximately 3100 yards used as fill. The primary function of the shop is electric motor repair, pump repair, and machining for irrigation and food processing companies. When completed, the site will have 23 offstreet parking spaces including one handicap-access space when completed. Runoff will be from the building and the sidewalks. The site will be graded so that runoff flows in the three drainage basins. The project will be accessed from Road M SE. To the north of the project site is a residential RV trailer park. To the east and south there exists a single-family home. The remaining surrounding area is agricultural farmland. Approximately 2.3 acres of the 5-acre parcel will be developed.
