Vicki Lynn Swisher
Vicki Lynn Swisher, a beloved educator and cherished member of the Moses Lake School District community, passed away peacefully Feb. 2, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones.
Vicki made her debut in late February of 1963, to her beloved parents Elvis and June Swisher, and older brother Brad Swisher. She graduated from Moses Lake High School and early on, Vicki recognized that education was her passion. After graduating from high school, she attended Central Washington University to obtain her bachelor’s degree in education. She spent two years completing her student teaching in Hawaii. She later went on to obtain a master’s degree in education and administration.
With a career in education spanning over 35 years, Vicki dedicated her life to shaping the young minds of her students while fostering educators in their classrooms. Vicki was known for her kindness, compassion and dedication to the betterment of the school community. She approached each day with a steadfast determination to make a difference in the lives of those around her, leaving an unforgettable imprint on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In her spare time, Vicki could be seen vacationing in Arizona or Mexico with family. She loved the warm weather, sand between her toes, and a margarita in her hand. Her greatest satisfaction in life was being surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. She touched the lives of many with her kindness, generosity and unwavering love. Her warm smile and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who know her.
She is survived by her three children, Tyler Raymond, Cole Raymond and Morgan (Raymond) Jones. Her son, Tyler Keith Raymond, his wife, Danessa, and their three children, Lizzy, Erik and Kamdyn. Her son, Cole Austin, Raymond, his wife, Lyssa, and their three children, Lynlee, Raegan and Hallie. Her daughter, Morgan Victoria, Jones and her husband, Trevor Jones. She is also survived by her parents, Elvis and June Swisher, brother Brad Swisher, his wife, Pam, and their two children, Jeff Swisher and Kelly Swisher, and her son, Landon.
She will be forever remembered for her strength, compassion, and the countless memories she created with those she loved.
A celebration of Vicki's life will be held at The Presbyterian Church on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2024, at 11 a.m. This will be a time to honor and remember Vicki for the remarkable legacy she leaves behind.
