Darrel Francis Parsons

| February 5, 2024 3:20 PM

Darrel Francis Parsons was born June 21, 1957, in Odessa, Wash., and passed away Jan. 31, 2024, at his home in Coulee City, Wash.

Darrel grew up on Lake Creek ranch, the youngest of the three children of Francis “Tuffy” and Mary Ethel (Warwick) Parsons. He was educated in the Harrington Schools and earned a degree from Spokane Community College. His professional career in agriculture led him to establish his own company, Parsons Equipment, all while maintaining cattle at the family ranch.

Darrel joined his life with Patricia Welling in July of 2000. Patty brought to the marriage sons Grant and Corbin, completing their family. Patty was a true partner to Darrel in the equipment business and ranching. He thoroughly enjoyed his business and the customers who became friends.

The Coulee City community surrounded Darrel and Patty with tremendous support in the last weeks. Our family is so grateful for their kindness.

Darrel was preceded in death by his parents and stepson Grant Whitaker.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia, stepson Corbin Whitaker and fiancé Brittani Benally, stepdaughter-in-law Becca Whitaker, sisters Patty Tarbert and Peggy Miller, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will honor Darrel’s life Friday, Feb. 9, 2024, at 1 p.m., at Strate Funeral Home Chapel, Davenport, Wash. A family interment will precede the service at Hillcrest Cemetery, Harrington, Wash.
