MOSES LAKE — Residents of the Harvest Manor Estates mobile home park in Moses Lake were asked to shelter in place Friday evening at about 9:45 p.m. after a shooting was reported. Nobody was hurt in the incident, though one mobile home was struck, according to a Grant County Sheriff’s Office statement.

GCSO staff sent out a Nixle notification asking residents in the area to shelter in place after a fistfight between several people ended in gunfire. Deputies were unable to determine who had fired the gun and those involved in the incident refused to cooperate with investigators.

Those living in the home that was struck were not involved in the fight that caused the shooting, GCSO’s statement said.

The shelter-in-place was canceled at 10:25 p.m., and residents in the area were asked to maintain basic home security by locking doors, leaving exterior lights on and reporting suspicious activity to law enforcement.

GCSO deputies were aided by MACC 911 and the Moses Lake Police Department.
