WDFW police seek assistance in Columbia River shooting incident
A map of where the dead birds were found during a routine patrol Nov. 23. One of the birds found was a common loon which is listed as a state-sensitive species and protected under federal and state laws. Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife officers are asking for assistance to locate the suspect of the shootings.

GEORGE – The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife Police are requesting the public's assistance in identifying individuals involved in the shooting of a common loon and over 20 coots on the Columbia River near Sunland Estates due west of George.
