Opera star to perform with Moses Lake students
Russian baritone Misha Myznikov, who has performed with several opera companies on the west side, will sing at piano recitals in Moses Lake Saturday.

MOSES LAKE — An acclaimed opera singer will perform with Moses Lake music teacher Marina Munter’s students Saturday in Moses Lake, according to an announcement from Munter.
Munter’s students will play Christmas recitals with baritone Misha Myznikov, Munter wrote. The recitals will take place at 10:30 and 11:45 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Moses Lake Christian Academy Event Center, 1312 S. Moses Lake Ave.
According to the announcement, Myznikov, who was born in Azerbaijan and grew up in Russia, has performed with the Seattle, Bellevue and Tacoma opera companies. He performed roles in Bizet’s “Carmen,” Tchaikovsky’s “Eugene Onegin,” and Mozart’s “Le Nozze di Figaro” and “Don Giovanni.” He also appeared as Emile de Becque in “South Pacific” by Rodgers and Hammerstein with the Regional Theatre of the Palouse in Pullman.
In addition, students of Harriet West will perform at 2:30 p.m. and students of Gracie Payne at 5 and 6 p.m., Munter wrote, although Myznikov will not sing with those classes.
All performances are free and the public is invited, Munter wrote.
