The reports below were provided by the sheriff's office or police department indicated. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. 


Ephrata PD 


Dec. 5 


Report of theft on C Street SW. Reporting person said unknown suspect stole a package from her porch. Suspect stole package worth $35. Police located the cardboard but no items. 


Dec. 6 


Report of harassment by neighbor to reporting person and her daughter. Reporting person said she was on way to drop daughter off and the neighbor yelled and called her names and told her to get out of her car. Ephrata Police Department said to seek protection orders and document incidents. 


Report of cold theft at a business on Nat Washington Way. Suspect concealed items and left without paying.  


Dec. 7 


Report of collision on Leslie Road. Roadway was icy. Vehicle one was southbound and could not stop or turn at bottom of hill. Vehicle one collided into vehicle two which was legally parked and unoccupied. Public works responded and salted road. 


Report of unknown silver truck driving west bound along C Street ran over a green city bench located along Basin Street. Truck then drug bench onto Basin Street and fled northbound. City works was notified and cones were placed on leftover legs of bench. 


Dec. 8 


Report of dog falling out of back of truck because of driver speed. The reporting person stopped mid-intersection to avoid hitting the dog. The driver of the truck came back and got the dog and was gone on police arrival.  


Dec. 9 


Report of subject outside of business on Nat Washington Way. Female suspect appeared to be under influence of drugs. Female suspect was trespassed from store and told to move along when the male suspect returned from store. 


Report of several fraud charges with reporting party’s bank. 


Report of man at library offering candy to a group of children. When reporting party declines male yelled about Santa and the vehicle left south on Alder. Gone on police arrival. 


Report that subject is harassing reporting party. Reporting party said subject “meows” at her and yesterday subject hacked into security camera and meowed at her. Unknown how suspect did this. No records. Police explained protection orders. 


Dec. 10 


Report of person being defrauded by online scam. Reporting person sent money via Bitcoin. 


Report of cold drugs in the 1100 block of Basin Street SW at business. Reporting person located baggies containing possible drug paraphernalia inside store. Reporting person contacted supervisor and baggies were disposed of.  


Dec. 11 


Report of theft in 1300 block of Basin Street SW. Reporting person said female suspect stole an ice cream cone. Female suspect not showing pervious trespassing history. Reporting party would like suspect to be trespassed.

Samuel Ernest Engelhardt, 39, Soap Lake, booked on Grant County Superior Court warrant for failure to appear on case regarding possession of stolen vehicle. 


Dec. 6 


Jennifer Ann Torgeson, 59, Moses Lake, booked on second-degree theft. 


Kaelynn Gabriell Martinez, 24, Moses Lake, booked on fourth-degree assault – domestic violence, third-degree theft – domestic violence and third-degree malicious mischief – domestic violence.  


Charles Forrest Jackson, 35, Lakewood, booked on Pierce Co. warrant for failure to appear on case regarding first-degree trafficking stolen property. 


Dec. 7 


Edwin Ivan Trujillo Basilio, 24, Desert Aire, booked on fourth-degree assault – domestic violence.  


Juan Adolfo Zeledon, 30, Ephrata, booked on fourth-degree assault – domestic violence and third-degree malicious mischief – domestic violence.  


Kendall Scott Griffith, 32, Coulee City, booked on fourth-degree assault – domestic violence. 


Dec. 8 


Colby Douglas Palmen, 23, Moses Lake, booked on second-degree malicious mischief and fourth-degree assault – domestic violence. 


Felipe De Pazaran Flores, 30, Mattawa, booked on physical control or a motor vehicle while under the influence.

Karry Ann Williams, 62, Quincy, booked on second-degree trafficking stolen property and third-degree possessing stolen property.

Daniel Todd Carptentier, 38, Moses Lake, booked on Grant County District Court warrant for failure to appear on case for DUI and theft of motor vehicle.  


Micheal Dean Sheppard, 33, Moses Lake, booked on Grant County Superior Court warrants for two counts of attempting to elude police vehicle and second-degree malicious mischief.

Therese Frances Donley, 42, Keller, booked on two counts of delivery of controlled substances – fentanyl. 


Felipe Michael Garza, 31, Othello, booked on U.S. Government warrant District of Montana. 


Lucia Rodriguez, 24, Soap Lake, booked on fourth-degree assault – domestic violence.
