Mattawa PD reports gang-related shooting
Saturday night the Mattawa Police Department and the Grant County Sheriff's Office responded to a call regarding a shooting. The investigation is ongoing, but the officers believe the incident was gang related.

MATTAWA – The Mattawa Police Department released a report regarding a shooting that occurred Saturday night in the 100 block of second street. Officers from MPD and Grant County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived at the scene and recovered evidence.
Officers were then notified of a victim being transported to a regional hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. At this time, the Mattawa PD said the victim is being uncooperative.
The department believes the incident was gang related; however, this is still an ongoing investigation.
