OTHELLO — Othello celebrated the coming of the Christmas season with a day of games, food, fireworks and a parade full of twinkling lights, costumes and candy Dec. 7.

The Othello Christmas Miracle on Main Street featured a little bit of everything — games for children, cookie decorating and making Christmas ornaments, storytime with the Mid-Columbia Libraries, food vendors, dance and cheer performances. The Othello High School choir performed for the crowd, followed by the OHS band. Santa dropped by for family pictures.

The parade featured floats and vehicles decked out in Christmas lights, along with lots and lots of candy. The lighting of the town’s Christmas tree followed, with a holiday fireworks display as the finale.
