MLPD Cops for Tots event deemed a success
Members of the Moses Lake Police Department accepted donations from shoppers at the Moses Lake Walmart Sunday evening for their Cops for Tots program to help ensure local children have a wonderful Christmas.

MOSES LAKE – The Moses Lake Police Department expressed appreciation for the Moses Lake Walmart and community members for a successful Cops for Tots event Sunday afternoon.
According to an MLPD announcement, the event brought in 22 overflowing shopping carts, 10 bikes and more than $700 in cash. The carts were filled with toys, coats and other items for local children in need.
“As always, we are overwhelmed with the generosity of our community and thank you from the bottom of our hearts,” the announcement said.
Toys will be distributed by the Community Services Food Bank next week to help local children enjoy the holiday season.
