The reports below were provided by the sheriff's office or police department. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. 

Ephrata PD

Nov. 27 

Report of unknown suspect who may have attempted entry into a business on Basin Street SW. Reporting party plans on putting up cameras. 

Report of blackmail and reporting person scammed of $250.  

Report of cart pushout at business on Nat Washington Way. Two suspects pushed cart of merchandise out of store and fled in vehicle. Traffic stop later contacted both suspects. Both cited and released.  

Report of shoplifter in custody at business on Nat Washington Way. Suspect concealed items in yellow bag. Suspect was stopped past all points of sale. Suspect cited and released. 

Report of previously trespassed suspect at business. Suspect was cited and released for second-degree criminal trespassing.  

Nov. 28 

Report of a phone call claiming the reporting person’s daughter was being held hostage and the caller was demanding $10,000. Reporting party called daughter and she was fine. 

Report of single vehicle collision. Vehicle left roadway due to ice and colluded with utility pole and fence which suffered significant damage. 

Nov. 29 

Report of theft at business on Nat Washington Way. Reporting party said shoplifter in custody. Charges to be pursued. 

Report of trespassing in 1300 block of Basin Street SW. Male suspect was going through hardware and garbage cans. Police contacted and told subject to move along.  

Report of hit and run. Vehicle one hit the driver side rear door. Vehicle two pulled over and vehicle one fled.  

Nov. 30 

Report of collision on State Route 282 and Nat Washington Way. Washington State Patrol asked for assistance with collision.  

Report of possible theft in progress at business on Nat Washington Way. Reporting party said male suspect had cart full of items and was likely going to do a pushout. Male suspect ditched cart. 

Report of four juveniles taking a four-wheeler up and down the block of Hilltop. Police located juveniles and father came out claiming he did not know the juveniles were using the four-wheeler and they wouldn’t do it again.  

Dec. 1 

Report of bald suspect with stick looking like he was going to strike vehicles. Suspect matching description was found. He had a rake. He was cleaning leaves. 

Report of suspect who had been previously trespassed at business on Basin Street SW. Suspect contacted and told report to be filed. One hour later, suspect returned to business. Suspect arrested and booked for trespassing and three misdemeanor warrants.

Dec. 3

Report of reporting party sending approximately $1,900 to a scammer on Facebook. Reporting party’s friend was hacked and selling a car, which reporting party sent money to without seeing vehicle. Reporting party to try to dispute with PayPal. 

Moses Lake PD

Nov. 29 

Reporting person asked for welfare check on his daughter after he received a scam call from someone claiming to of kidnapped her. Police contacted daughter and confirmed she was okay. 

Report of suspect pushing cart out of business on S Pioneer Way. Report to be filed for third-degree theft and suspect trespassed from business. 

Report of MLPD assisting Whitman County Sheriff’s Office with locating suspect in a burglary. Suspect was taken into custody. 

Report of suspect trying to push out cart at business on S Pioneer Way. Suspect left and is unknown. 

Report of overdose on E Broadway Avenue. Subjects refused assistance.  

Report of reporting party’s car broken into on Nov. 23 or Nov. 24. House key, car key and CDs taken. Reporting party said vehicle was locked and they appeared to use a coat hanger to get into vehicle. Reporting party to ask property manager for surveillance.  

Report of MLPD assisting Grant County Sheriff’s Office with finding a juvenile wanted for third-degree malicious mischief – domestic violence. Juvenile was found and transported to Chelan County Juvenile Center.  

Nov. 30 

Report of a wood pallet fortress erected between two businesses on E Broadway Avenue. Police noticed they had built a fireplace out of retaining wall blocks. Police also observed dirty clothing, laminate flooring, a twin size bed, garbage and drug paraphernalia at the fortress. Police were concerned about building code violations – improper framing, questionable studs and joists, inadequate connections between building materials and several fire code violations. Police knocked on front door, pallet, and requested to speak to the owner of the residence. The subject was told they were trespassing and requested by police to leave. Police photographed the new construction and notified Moses Lake Code Enforcement of the violations at this property.  

Report of overdose on N Dale Road. Moses Lake Fire Department said they didn’t need assistance and it appeared to only be subject sleeping. 

Report of subjects driving minibikes on W Peninsula Drive without helmets. Police lectured subjects on importance of using helmets. Subjects obtained helmets. 

Report of vehicle driving down Marina Drive and almost struck a mailbox.  

Report of overdose at W Prichard Road. Police responded and assisted with medical treatment.  

Report of group of people using drugs at business on N Stratford Road. Group gone on police arrival. 

Report of theft in progress at business on N Stratford Road. Two suspects contacted with concealed merchandise. Both suspects trespassed from business. 

Dec. 1 

Report of suspect arrested and booked into Grant County Jail on N Mary Street for fourth-degree assault – domestic violence. Police called back to the scene and another suspect was booked into Grant County Jail for fourth-degree assault – domestic violence.  

Report of third party report of hit and run on W Wood Court. 

Report of subject potentially overdosing in vehicle in front of the reporting party’s house on Baseline .3 Road NE. Subject refused medical assistance. 

Report of third-party report of vehicle vs. fire hydrant collision on W Wood Court. Vehicle was found at scene and was a rental. Responsible party was not found at the scene. Police to follow up with rental company. 

Report of packages stolen off porch on W Columbia Ave. Packages had Xbox controller, VR headset battery and tie die baby crocs and bib. Items totalled to around $200. 

Report of theft at business on S Pioneer Way. Female suspect trespassed from store.  

Report of daughter’s boyfriend sneaking into residence. The mother caught the two having intercourse. Boyfriend trespassed from residence. Reporting party's daughter ran away. Daughter located and returned home.  

Dec. 2 

Report of work truck at business prowled of $5,000 to $10,000 worth of tools and equipment. No camera caught incident and suspect is unknown at this time.  

Report of juvenile overdosing on E third Avenue. Juvenile taken to Samaritan Hospital and taken home to guardian.  

Report of hit and run incident on N Stratford Road. Suspect hit the second vehicle and left scene with reporting party only getting the suspects phone number. 

Unknown juveniles suspects tried to steal alcohol and slippers at business on N Stratford Road. Loss prevention recovered items and suspects fled. 

Grant Co. Jail 

Nov. 29 

Brand Castendada Martinez, 20, Beverly, booked on fourth-degree assault – domestic violence. 

Nov. 30 

Kevin Derek Durfee, 40, Spokane, booked on second-degree burglary and failure to appear on cases regarding second-degree burglary and second-degree malicious mischief.  

Lucio Lemos, 35, Schwana, booked on Yakima County Warrant for first-degree unlawful possession of firearm.  

Dec. 1 

Luis Cordova Rodriguez, 30, Moses Lake, booked on fourth-degree assault – domestic violence. 

Iban Wilber Rodriquez, 39, Moses Lake, booked on fourth-degree assault – domestic violence and two Grant County District Court warrants for DUI and second-degree driving with license suspended.  

Brett Allen Tolley, 35, Moses Lake, booked on first-degree criminal trespassing and three Grant County District Court failure to appear warrants.  

Diana Marie Smith, 66, Moses Lake, booked on fourth-degree assault – domestic violence 

Nelia Gamboa Contreras, 35, Quincy, booked on two counts of fourth-degree assault – domestic violence.  

Dec. 2 

Ashleigh Deanne Laney, 41, Moses Lake, booked on four Grant County District Court warrants for two counts of DUI and two counts of second-degree driving with license suspended. 

David Galindo Green, 27, Warden, booked on third-degree malicious mischief – domestic violence. 

Patrick James Noe, 42, Moses Lake, booked on fourth-degree assault – domestic violence. 

Raynado Maldonado Ramirez, 28, Othello, booked on mandatory dui and ignition interlock violation. 

Dec. 4 

Tomas Diaz Layna, 34, Moses Lake, booked on possession of stolen vehicle. 

Lorenzo Longoria, 40, Quincy, booked on third-degree theft. 

Carlos Figueroa Gonzalez, 19, Mattawa, booked on protection order violation.  

Steven Lee Glaesman, 36, Moses Lake, booked on retail theft with special circumstances. 

Sarah Elisabeth Kirby, 45, Moses Lake, booked on third-degree theft and second-degree burglary. 

Raphael Disean Jordan, 44, Moses Lake, booked on Grant County District Court warrant for failure to appear on cases regarding theft of a motor vehicle.  

Dec. 5 

June Orias Seblario, 41, Moses Lake, booked on fourth-degree assault – sexual motivation.
