MLPD arrests illegal minibike driver

MOSES LAKE – The Moses Lake Police Department released a statement regarding a 19-year-old man who took an illegal mini-bike joyride through town Nov. 10 and was eventually booked into Grant County Jail. 

The suspect was illegally riding a minibike throughout town and multiple officers tried to stop the suspect who was driving without a license.  

“After wasting about 25 minutes of officers’ time and endangering the public, the driver was cornered on Marina Drive,” reads the statement from MLPD.  

After the officer stopped the suspect, he then tried to flee the scene. The MLPD officer stopped him again by seizing ahold of the man’s jacket and the bike continued to move without the suspect. The suspect was rapidly dismounted; however, the man was not injured.  

The bike was impounded, and the suspect was booked.
