Liulamaga selected by Seattle in first round of MLR Collegiate Draft
Wildcat center Calvin Liulamaga was selected with the eleventh overall pick in the Major League Rugby Collegiate Draft.

ELLENSBURG - The Central Washington University men's rugby team earned a first-round selection in the 2024 MLR Collegiate Draft when the Seattle Seawolves selected Calvin Liulamaga with the 11th pick.
"We are immensely proud of Calvin joining our list of MLR 1st round draft picks and look forward to watch him make the jump to the next level." Head Coach Todd Thornley said. "Calvin is a product of individual commitment, resiliency, and the collective resources we can provide here at CWU athletics to ensure he develops both on and off the field. I know he will be beyond excited to potentially play in front of his hometown crowd next season and we look forward to cheering him on from afar."
Liulamaga, a fifth-year center out of Auburn, Wash., was selected to the second team of the 2023-2024 D1A Collegiate Rugby All-Americans. He has been a huge part of the Wildcats success over the past 4 years and recorded a two-try game against the Seattle Rugby Club this past season. With Liulamaga's selection, the 'Cats have had a first-round pick in 3 of the last 5 MLR Collegiate Drafts.
