Richard DeBeaumont

| August 28, 2024 4:17 PM

Richard DeBeaumont, 95, passed to life eternal at his home Aug. 12, 2024. He was born July 8, 1929, to Ralph and Macel Mangia DeBeaumont at Clarkston, Wash.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Eccles DeBeaumont; their sons: Rick, Loren (Michelle) and Greg (Donna); and seven grandchildren: Tara Zerbo, Brent, Jared, Justin, Jason, Katherine, Ken, Grant, Justin Winkleman, Robert Straube and 13 great-grandchildren.

Richard graduated from Walla Walla High School and went on to WSU where he earned a degree in Business Administration.

He was offered a job at Libby, McNeal and Libby, but his father-in-law, Ivan Eccles, offered him a job on the family dryland wheat farm which he took and never looked back. They bought 13 cattle and began their cattle herd.

In 1962, when his father-in-law returned and sold the wheat farm, they sold the cattle except 100 head. The DeBeaumonts purchased an irrigation farm south of Moses Lake and moved the family and the cows there. The rest is history.

There will be no funeral, but a celebration of life will be held Sept. 28 at the Porterhouse Restaurant 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
