EPHRATA — Ephrata School District Superintendent Ken Murray welcomed staff back to campuses last Tuesday as they went back into classrooms to finish preparations for the upcoming school year.

“This morning, I had the opportunity to speak to all district staff, as we gathered together for our annual welcome back event. The group that gathered in the Ephrata Middle School gym almost drove me to tears. When I stepped into this role, I knew we had truly incredible staff. Being there with them today reinforced this feeling and it became obvious that I am surrounded by greatness,” Murray said in a statement released after the Tuesday event.

Students will have back-to-school orientation today and tomorrow and regular classroom instruction begins Thursday.

Murray said the district will be striving to innovate and put forward their best efforts to focus on children and ensuring that students are learning.
