Reports below were provided by the sheriff’s office or police department indicated. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. 

Ephrata PD 

Aug. 16 

Report of a juvenile shooting the reporting party’s cat with a BB gun. No video footage but there was a potential suspect. Mother of juvenile denied statement. Reporting party pressing charges. 

Report of theft in 13000 Block of Nat Washington Way. Reporting party had suspect in custody. Suspect took cart of items and made it past exit doors without paying. Suspect charged with third-degree theft and trespassed from store.  

Third-party report of robbery on 4th Avenue SW. Victim and suspect had argument. Suspect struck victim with bat and stole purse. Victim's arm fractured. Suspect located by Soap Lake PD, items recovered. Suspect booked for first-degree robbery and second-degree assault.  

Multiple reports of fireworks near F Street NW. Police did not see or hear anything. 

Aug. 17 

Hit and run report. Reporting party said two vehicles parked in front of his house on E Street Southeast had been hit. The hit and run vehicle left behind right side mirror cover. Part came back as a Tahoe. Tahoe found with juvenile driving. Reporting party canceled charges after juvenile apologized.  

Aug. 18 

Report of stolen credit card used at Moses Lake store for almost $480. Reporting party said bag of items stolen from vehicle prowl in Leavenworth two days before.  

Report of suspicious vehicle on E. Street NE that parks and takes pictures of  children’s playground and apartments. Reporting party said vehicle has been coming for a month now. Plate provided. Reporting party to contact SLPD when it is happening. 

Report of verbal disturbance between victim and suspect. Police separated parties. Ran suspect’s name and there was order in place between suspect and victim. Suspect placed under arrest without incident.  

Report of three males at reporting party’s house trying to break in. No signs of break in. Reporting party said there is footage. Reporting party called again saying they were back. Still no evidence.  

Aug. 19 

Report of two unlocked vehicles prowled overnight on Cottage Street SE.  

Report of vehicle vs. pole guide wire collision just south of Division West. Driver had been parked, leaving lot, looked back and struck guide wire, damaged vehicle, Grant County Public Utility District to call SLPD with damage estimate.  

Report of cold vehicle prowl 1200 block Cottage Street SE. 

Report of person losing wallet. Placed wallet on bumper after pumping gas and traveled to Moses Lake.  

Aug. 20  

Report of cold vehicle prowl in the 700 block of 2nd Avenue SE. Reporting party said someone broke into her vehicle, took wallet and other items. Vehicle locked but window was cracked.  

Report of malicious mischief in the 100 block of G Street NE. Reporting party said unknown suspect slashed tires.  

Report of possible drugs left on power box by rear entry of apartment on 3rd Street SW. Police collected plastic bag and placed into property for destruction. 

Possible theft at a business in 1300 block of Nat Washington Way. Reporting party said five subjects had three carts full of items and were possibly going to do a push out.  

Cold domestic on 5th Avenue NE. One suspect established for two counts of fourth-degree assault – domestic violence. 

Report of trespassing in 100 block of 4th Avenue SW. Unknown suspect on reporting party’s property. Reporting party did not see suspect clearly.  

Aug. 21 

Report of harassment. Multiple people reported a disturbance. Subject said male suspect used cuss words around her kids and she doesn't like it. When subject heard male suspect cussing, she started recording him and male suspect became angry and harassed her.  

Report of assault. Report of two subjects fighting in field. One fainted. Two subjects were brothers. No injuries observed. All was fine.  

Report of counterfeit $50, arrived on scene and bill was determined to be legitimate.  

Moses Lake PD 

Aug. 17 

Report of two vehicle collision on N. Stratford Road. Reportable damage. 

Report of package dumped in parking lot on N. Grape Drive. Police responded and identified owner of package. Police attempted to return package, but subject not home. Item logged for safekeeping.  

Report of male suspect cutting lock and stealing bike at E. 9th Ave. Bike is royal blue with no markings.  

Report of subject cashing check at business on W. Broadway Ave. that bounced. Reporting party called subject who did not answer. Reporting party called business where subject works and they said they will look into it. 

Report of theft outside city limits at Road O NE. Subject detained until Grant County Sheriff’s Office arrived. 

Report of potentially stolen vehicle at S. Clover Drive. Reporting party left keys in car and vehicle went missing. The reported vehicle was located in front of a neighbor's residence before officers arrived. Reporting party said transmission was damaged and was unsure if vehicle slipped gear and rolled out of driveway or taken by someone. No evidence of theft at this time.  

Report of theft at business on N. Stratford Road. Officers contacted suspect who was already trespassed from business. Police developed potential case for second-degree burglary. Police released suspect due to jail not accepting. 

Report of two vehicle traffic collision on E. Broadway Avenue. No injuries reported.  

Report of couple arguing over pizza pocket taken out of the microwave on W. Glenmoor Drive. Both were intoxicated. Female picked up by her mother to avoid further issues.  

Report of female unconscious near Knolls Vista Elementary. Female sleeping, woke up and left. 

Report of two-vehicle collision on West Valley Road and N. Stratford Road. No injuries reported. Driver of vehicle at-fault and to be cited for no valid operator's license w/ID.  

Report of male subject stealing reporting party’s car at gunpoint on W. Columbia Avenue. Vehicle found unoccupied at McCosh Park and impounded pending search warrant. Suspect located on W. Broadway Ave. and taken into custody. Suspect vehicl impounded pending search warrant. Suspect booked into Grant Co. Jail for first-degree robbery and theft of motor vehicle. 

Report of back door open and reporting party’s cats locked in a room. Police cleared residence and did not locate anyone. Reporting party said nothing missing.

Report of two subjects in physical altercation near bike trail on N. Stratford Road. Gone at police arrival. 

Aug. 18 

Report of small fire on bike trail on N. Stratford Road. Subject was cooking on grill and advised to put it out. Multiple subjects advised to leave property and bike trail. 

Report of stray dog at dog park. Police could not take it to Grant County Animal Outreach due to it being full. 

Report of vehicle prowl previous night at N. Elder Street and victim’s card was used at local business.  

Report of three juveniles stealing alcohol from business on N. Stratford Road. All were arrested and released to parents. 

Report of two vehicle collision in parking lot of a business on N. Stratford Road. Vehicle one turned left and hit vehicle two. Vehicle two was northbound and did not have time to avoid collision. Vehicle one sustained damage to front passenger bumper. Vehicle two sustained damage to drivers side front and back doors.  

Report of dog attacking reporting party’s dog and child on Sunny Drive NE. No injuries the child. Stray taken to Grant County Animal Outreach.  

Report of subjects in vehicles dealing drugs near reporting party’s business on E. 5th Avenue. 

Report of hit and run in parking lot of business on S. Pioneer Way. Reporting party wanted accident documented and did not want to pursue charges. 

Report of overdose on W. Ridge Road. Female was seen by medics but refused treatment. 

Report of juveniles using drugs at skate park on W. 4th Avenue. Police observed three adults smoking cigarettes, no drugs. 

Aug. 19 

Report of suspect arguing with her boyfriend in front of a business on North Stratford road. Suspect became upset and spat on boyfriend's male friend. Suspect left running when she was informed police were on their way. Suspect was not located in the area.  

Report of found property: Mexico passport, mail, Discover pass and vehicle registration.  

Report of assistance with Grant County Sheriff’s Office with a death investigation at Gorge Campground.  

Report of work vehicle opened overnight on South Division Street. Reporting party said he was missing blue pop-up awning and other work related items. Police collected photos of missing property. No suspect at time. Reporting party would like to pursue charges.  

Report of suspects entering a store on N. Stratford Road with receipt of previous purchase not made by suspects. Suspects selected items from receipt and stole them from store. Male suspect sent female suspect back in with the items and fraudulent receipt. Female suspect attempted to return stolen items for cash. Female suspect detained. Other two suspects identified but not located by officers. Charges to follow. 

Report of collision on City Street. Vehicle one was northbound on N. Grape Drive and slowed down to turn left into 900 N. Grape Drive. Vehicle two was southbound on N. Grape Drive. Vehicle one turned left hitting vehicle two. Vehicle one had damage to front of vehicle. Vehicle two had damage to driver side.  

Report of subjects conducting a drug deal at business on E. Wheeler Road.  

Report of tools stolen from rental property on W. Lakeside Drive.   

Report of employees stealing money from register at business on W. Broadway Ave. Reporting party arranged for employees to pay money back but they did not. 

Report of victim listing vehicle on Craigslist for $16,000. Victim contacted by company named Rand Construction. Unknown subject told victim to deposit check in his bank and then he would come pick the car up. Bank told the victim check was fraudulent. Unknown who the suspect is or where they are located.  

Report of hit and run in parking lot on E. Broadway Avenue.  

Report of minor collision in parking lot with no damage on S. Pioneer Way. 

Report of juvenile stealing two or three boxes of wine from a store on West Broadway Avenue. The suspect was last seen heading east of West Broadway Avenue. The police searched area and could not find suspect. 

Report of abandoned drug paraphernalia at W. Marina Drive which was disposed of.  

Report of graffiti on overpass on W. Peninsula Drive. 

Aug. 20 

Reporting party left vehicle running and unlocked briefly while she went into her apartment on 9th Ave. Purse missing when returned. 

Report of someone pepper sprayed and refusing to give written statement. 

Report of shots near W. Knolls Vista Drive. Contact made with two people walking around and both denied hearing anything. 

Report of suspect overdosing on fentanyl in hotel room on S. Pioneer Way. MLPD helped Moses Lake Fire Department with removing subject from room. Subject refused medical treatment.  

Report of two subjects camping on private property on N. Central Drive.  

Report of water ofnroadway on S. Pioneer Way, police did not observe water over roadway.  

Report of phone call reporting party received saying she won $200,000 but needed to send caller $250 first. Reporting party sent $50 to caller and the caller blocked her. 

Report of male in white truck trespassing on the reporting party’s businesses on South Lasco Lane. The suspect stole scrap metal and was trespassed from business. 

Report of person getting poked by needles from two different subjects for the last two months on S. Balsam Street. 

Report of hit and run. Reporting party said she was hit on golf cart by a silver sedan on N. Stratford Road. 

Report of suspect pulling knife and threatening to kill victim at business on N. Stratford Road. Suspect arrested and booked for first-degree assault and threats to kill. 

Report of suspect previously trespassed from business on N. Stratford Road. Suspect stole hat, shoes and shirt. Suspect booked into Grant County Jail for second-degree burglary and third-degree theft. 

Aug. 21 

Report of male subject attempting to break into truck with screwdriver, which was parked in lot on N. Stratford Road. Officers contacted suspect, who said he saw someone in the truck, which he was trying to help get out. Suspect arrested and later released pending criminal charges.

Aug. 16 

Travis Ray Powell, 34, Ephrata, booked on two warrants for second-degree burglary and third-degree theft. 

Jesse James Ratzlaff, 29, Grand Coulee, booked on protection order violation. 

Nicholas Bisterfelt, 30, Cove Junction, booked on two counts of delivery of LSD, possession of LSD, possession of ketamine and possession of Adderall.  

Trey Remington Rick Stone, 25, Corvallis, booked on two counts of possession, delivery or manufacturing of a controlled substance – LSD and one count of possession, delivery or manufacturing of a controlled substance.  

Jessica Raelynn Wall, 28, Eugene, booked on one count of possession with intent to deliver marijuana and one count of possession with intent to deliver shrooms.  

Kavin Hernandez, 24, Vancouver, booked on three counts of possession, delivery or manufacturing of a narcotic counterfeit substance – LSD, shrooms and ketamine and one count of possession, delivery or manufacturing of a controlled substance – marijuana.  

Dwight Dale Watkins, 22, Kennewick, booked on four counts of possession, delivery or manufacturing of a narcotic counterfeit substance – LSD, shrooms and psilocybin and one count of possession, delivery or manufacturing of a controlled substance – marijuana.  

Hayle Jean Whitworth, 22, Kennewick, booked on three counts of possession, delivery or manufacturing of a narcotic counterfeit substance – LSD, shrooms, ketamine and one count of possession, delivery or manufacturing of a controlled substance – marijuana.  

Andrew Michael Gettle, 34, Baker City, booked on indecent liberties and making false or misleading statements to police. 

Aug. 17 

James Arthur Danielson, 53, Redmond, booked on possession, delivery or manufacturing of a narcotic counterfeit substance – methamphetamine.  

Theresa Irene Deich, 35, Redmond, booked on possession, delivery or manufacturing of a narcotic counterfeit substance.

Aug. 19 

Hector Ramos Hernandez, 38, Royal City, booked on fourth-degree assault – domestic violence. 

Natavidad Jose Barajas Cisneros, 62, Moses Lake, booked on two warrants for second-degree burglary and theft of a motor vehicle. 

Deanna Van Ausdle, 55, Moses Lake, booked on attempting to elude a police vehicle and third-degree driving with a license suspended. 

Aug. 20 

Angel Alvarez Hernandez, 20, Othello, booked on three counts for second-degree assault – deadly weapon, unlawful carrying or handling of weapon, possession of a pistol by person 18 to 21 years old.  

Victor Silvas Gonzelez, 27, Othello, booked on second-degree burglary and third-degree malicious mischief.  

Mary Elaine Meyer, 48, Ephrata, booked on mandatory driving under the influence. 

Troy Anthony Lannoye, 37, Ephrata, booked on third-degree theft. 

Brenda Olga Navarro, 54, Quincy, booked on two counts of fourth-degree assault – domestic violence.  

Laura Lee Newhouse, 25, Moses Lake, booked on first-degree assault, harassment and third-degree malicious misconduct.

Aug. 21
