Reports below were provided by sheriff’s office or police department. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. 

Ephrata PD 

Aug. 9 

Two vehicles found without plates. 

Vehicle failed to yield at stop signs. Last seen traveling toward Soap Lake. No contact was made. 

Burglary occurred at 1200 block Cottage Street Southeast. Reporting party said two subjects broke into roommates room and took items. Both subjects located and arrested.  

DUI reported. Car heading towards Ephrata from Soap Lake. Plate was provided by reporting party. 

Verbal domestic reported 100 block of G Street southwest.  

Two reports of a male suspect going up to vehicles to ask for a ride home. Reporting party said suspect was a fugitive, Caucasian, gold teeth, and wore camo jacket. Suspect last seen on foot behind businesses.  

Two reports of shots fired in 700 block of D. Street Southwest. Reporting party said there were five to six shots. Another reporting party said it was a red dodge pickup driving towards Quincy.  

Report of suspicious male suspect walking down road and in people’s yards with flashlight. Suspect last seen walking in alleyway between D Street Southeast and E Street Southeast. 

Aug. 10 

Report of traffic collision in 1300 block of Nat Washington Way. Vehicle one was backing out of parking space as vehicle two was pulling in. Exchange of information occurred.

Report of physical domestic at 6000 block 10 northwest.

Report of fireworks at 700 block C Street Southwest.  

Report of overdose through crisis line. Subject transported by EMS.  

Aug. 11 

Report of disturbance at 400 block of Statter Road. Reporting party said it was a party and people were being loud.  

Report of cold domestic violence. Officers located and booked suspect. 

Report of traffic problem on Alder Street Northwest. Reporting party said suspect was driving erratically. Driver was gone on police arrival.  

Aug. 12 

Report of fraud. Reporting party said she paid $550 for bouncy house. Bouncy house never arrived. Police looked at seller’s info, likely a scam profile.  

Report of cold accident. Reporting party said four four-door car hit one of the poles in drive thru and drove away. Minor damage estimated at $50 at Division Avenue West.  

Report of burglary. Reporting party storage unit broke into. Items stolen including: snow blower, turkey decoys, gold equipment and more.  

Report of male suspect on bike, wearing mask and lurking around cars. Suspect gave police ID and said he was leaving town. Suspect left town southbound on Basin Street Southwest on bike. 

Aug. 13 

Report of male suspect in vehicle with pipe in mouth. Police arrived and suspect was vaping while on his phone. 

Report of harassment. Reporting party said threats were made after accident occurred at a construction site and a person was rushed to hospital. Suspect said they were upset reporting party was speeding.  

Aug. 14 

Report of structure fire in 300 block of E Street Northeast.  

Report of male wearing all black, with purse, running, stopping, looking around, then running again. Police contacted him and male stated he was okay and just running a little. 

Report of road hazard near intersection of division avenue east and D Street Northeast. Reporting party said male suspect, bald head, waving arms around and yelling at people driving by.  

Report of hit and run on Second St. Southwest.  

Moses Lake PD 

Aug. 10  

Report of scam call and loss of money involving Bitcoin.  

Report of male transient in North Stratford Road. Gone on police arrival. 

Police contacted several subjects who were on the sidewalk and sitting on someone’s curb on West Ridge Road.  

Report of father selling his car to his son. Son could not afford vehicle and gave it back. Dad found front plate missing. Son said plate was stolen July 22 on West Broadway and Ash Street. Front plate entered as stolen. Rear plate seized for destruction.  

Report of verbal domestic violence on South Balsam Street. 

Report of a theft at a business on North Stratford Road. Suspect had already been trespassed from store. Suspect passed all points of sale, then was placed in custody by Grant County Sheriff’s Office deputies. Booked on second-degree burglary and theft with special circumstances.  

Report of suspect in store On North Stratford Road who was involved in two prior thefts, police responded and trespassed suspect.  

Report of two vehicle collision. Vehicle one was in front of vehicle two in parking lot on North Stratford Road. Vehicle one stopped and started to back up and caused reportable damage to vehicle two on front bumper and hood.  

Report of verbal domestic on East Wheeler Road.  


Report of suspects going through dumpsters behind business on North Stratford Road.  


Report of traffic accident. Vehicle two was heading east on West Broadway Avenue, towards Interlake. Vehicle one was stopped at the intersection of West Broadway Avenue and Interstate 90 eastbound. Driver two had green light. Driver one failed to yield oncoming traffic and hit vehicle two. Vehicle two left the scene of the accident. Driver one, passenger one and rear passenger one transported to hospital.  


Aug. 11 


Report of verbal domestic violence in parking lot on South Pioneer Way.  


Report of previously trespassed suspect in business on North Stratford Road. Suspect transported to MLPD, where he was cited and released. 


Report of person followed by dark colored Dodge charger.


Report of hit and run, West Marina Drive. Police responded, documented damage. No description given. 


Report of stolen SSR 125 CC dirt bike, East Walnut Avenue.


Report of backpack outside church on East Brown Avenue. Bag full of drugs and one credit card. Bag collected and entered into property.  


Report of possible arson on Bell Road Northeast.  


Report of victim assaulted by several other people at party. Victim said she was punched, kicked and scratched.  


Report of damage on the rear of reporting party’s boat trailer.


Report of subject trespassing at business on East Wheeler Road. 


Report of suspect trying to unlock vehicle in front of business on North Stratford Road. Victim did not press charges. 


Report of dog attacked by another dog. Reporting party said it was a pitbull, the dog bit her dog and drug it into the street. Owner of dog was contacted, police said they will be taking dog. Owner said they would not give dog up because dog accidently got out. Police said officer would be out to get dog from owner and put it on hold.  


Aug. 12 


Report of dog on roof. Owner returned home and obtained dog and took dog inside apartment. 


Report of hair client calling hair salon to complain about her hair multiple times.  


Three vehicle collision. Vehicle one in the left turn lane, collided with vehicle two and three who were in the northbound lanes of North Stratford Road.  


Report of non-injury collision. Vehicle one stopped for a semi-truck pulling out onto roadway. Vehicle two stopped behind vehicle one. Vehicle one backed up to make space for the semi-truck and hit vehicle two’s car causing minor damage.


Report of female screaming for help. Police contacted. Woman was yelling at her kids.  


Report of female in bikini on side of road waving at cars. Subject gone on police arrival. 


Report of suspect stealing items and placing them in her bag. Stole approximately $110 worth of items from the store.


Report of previously trespassers suspect returning to business on North Stratford Road. Suspect resisted arrest and attempted to bite two officers. Booked into Grant County Jail on several charges.  


Report of graffiti on shed on school property and Peninsula Elementary.  


Aug. 13 


Report of graffiti on dugout at the ball fields on Lauzier Field.


Report of a suspect waving machete at vehicles. Police responded. Found suspect on Alder Street Fill. He had no machete on his person and refused to give officers his name.  

Report of a traffic accident. Vehicle one came out of gear and struck vehicle two in a parking lot. Both vehicles were unoccupied at time of accident.  


Report of two dogs chasing reporting party’s cat on West Wapato Drive.  


Report of two male subjects driving by reporting party’s residence and displaying firearm. Reporting party followed suspects’ vehicle. Suspects were taken to the MLPD in holding cell. Suspect vehicle was taken to city impound with pending search warrant.  


Report of male suspect opening packages to jewelry and exiting store without paying in business on North Stratford Road.  


Report of aftermarket grill stolen from residence on South Shaker Place, valued at $255. 


Report of someone buying a boat on auction site online. Reporting party wired money to company but did not receive boat. Phone number no longer works for company. Website also off the internet. Salt Lake City Police Department notified as company was in Utah. 


Report of vehicle collision on West Lakeshore Drive. Vehicle one and vehicle two both had green light and vehicle one made a left turn into vehicle two. Vehicle two had the right of way.  


Report of graffiti on back of trailer on Gary Street.  


Report of theft of dogs by neighbors, dog returned on East Craig Street.  


Report of suspect walking out with cart full of items at business on North Stratford Road. Loss prevention retained items. No suspect at this time. 


Report of collision in fairgrounds.  


Aug. 14 


Report of altercation in parking lot on 9th Avenue. Two suspects in physical fight. Male hit female suspect with vehicle upon leaving. Female did not wish to work with police or medical aid.  


Report of subject attacked by a dog with four bites, broken wrist. Dog was brown/gray, long hair, shepherd mix with pointed ears on West Spruce Street.  


Report of fight behind store on North Stratford Road. Suspects gone on police arrival. 


Report of collision on Alder Street Fill. Vehicle one was towing vehicle two on trailer, vehicle two released from trailer and hit vehicle three. No injuries. Vehicle two was towed from scene.


Report of male suspect abusing a puppy. Subject reportedly hit the dog, threw it against the wall and hit it with a broom. Police took dog for safekeeping.  


Report of shoplifter in custody at business on Stratford Road. Suspect was permanently trespassed previously. Female stole items totaling $21.92. Female arrested for third-degree theft and second-degree burglary.

Kyler W. Berrett, 20, Ephrata, booked on fourth-degree assault – domestic violence and fourth-degree assault – domestic violence with sexual motivation.

Randall Steven Smith, 48, Moses Lake, booked on second-degree burglary, resisting arrest and two warrants for first-degree criminal trespassing.

Tess Ann Harvill, 30, Moses Lake, booked on first-degree theft, third-degree theft and one GCDC warrant.  


Kody Gene Austin, 26, Cashmere, booked on GCDC warrant for second-degree burglary, third-degree theft, and second-degree vehicle prowling.  


Travis Jay Morris, 25, Moses Lake booked on three GCDC warrants for fourth-degree assault – domestic violence, second-degree burglary, third-degree theft and second-degree theft.  


Laura Ann Goff, 57, Moses Lake, booked on second-degree burglary and third-degree theft.  


Ariel Avalos Solis, 18, Moses Lake, booked on first-degree murder, two counts of first-degree assault. He was transferred from Grant County Juvenile.  


Aug. 15 


Cesar Elijah Hernandez, 27, Moses Lake booked on second-degree unlawful possession of firearm, obstructing a law enforcement officer and two grant county warrants.  


Pascual Morales Perez, 27, Othello, booked on GCDC warrant for possession of stolen vehicle and second-degree vehicle prowl.
