Soap Lake mayor, mayor pro-tem step down
Former Soap Lake Mayor Michelle Agliano swears now-former Soap Lake Mayor Allen DuPuy on August 18, 2022, when DuPuy first became a member of the Soap Lake City Council. Agliano was not reelected and DuPuy became mayor last year. DuPuy has stepped down from the mayor's seat.

SOAP LAKE — Allen DuPuy stepped down as the Soap Lake Mayor at the city council meeting Aug. 7. DuPuy was elected as the mayor Nov. 29, 2023, after he beat incumbent Michelle Agliano. DuPuy served eight months of his four-year term.
