Matthew Kenneth Hallberg
Matthew “Matt” Kenneth Hallberg left this world suddenly Aug. 1, 2024, at age 55.
He was born June 22, 1969, to Marvin and Marilyn Hallberg in Moses Lake, Wash., where he grew up alongside three siblings: Mishal (Scott), Mark (Robbin) and Marshall (Adriana).
A proud graduate of Moses Lake High School's class of 1987, Matthew was known for his exceptional talent on the football field and his ability to make friends wherever he went.
His life was characterized by his boundless energy and a story for every occasion.
Matthew married Lisa Jeter in 1999, and together they raised three cherished children: Autumn (24), Summer (22) and Zack (18). His work ethic was evident in all that he did, but his true passion was landscaping, a field in which he found immense joy and fulfillment. Before his passing, Matt was supervising a landscaping team, bringing his many years of experience to the town of Bend, Ore.
Matt had a deep love for golf, animals, and was hardly seen without a hat and matching fanny pack. His unique sense of style left an impression on all who laid eyes on him.
As he walked through life, Matthew faced many ups and downs, yet his faith remained. In his final months, he was walking with the Lord, sharing his testimony and the peace he had found.
Matthew was preceded in death by both his parents, Marvin and Marilyn Hallberg.
A celebration of Matthew’s life will be held soon to honor a man whose humor and adventurous spirit left a lasting mark on all who knew him. His memory will forever be cherished by his family and friends.
