The reports below were provided by the sheriff’s office or police department. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. 

Moses Lake PD 

Aug. 2 

Welfare check requested on two subjects asleep in a vehicle at a gas pump. The reporting party woke up the subjects before officers arrived and advised they were OK. Officers observed vehicle leaving area but were unable to contact occupants. 

Report of someone breaking freezer lock at a S. Pioneer Way business on South Pioneer Way. Suspect took all ice cream in freezer. Suspect had a dark sweatshirt and a hood over his head.  

Report of identity theft. Police collected information from reporting party and attempted to follow up with Social Security office. No suspect now. 

Report of female and male suspects leaving store on S. Pioneer Way with two carts of merchandise. Theft value estimated at $550. Suspects not identified. 

The reporting party said a couple with a child left a bike at her residence due to a flat tire three months ago and have not returned it. No information was collected on the subjects. Bike not listed as stolen. Bike entered as found property. 

Report of hit and run. Reporting party said she parked and vehicle ws hit while she was in the business. Witness reported an older green Chevy truck back up from a parking stall near where she was parked. The truck reportedly drove around her vehicle and hit the rear right side of the bumper and continued driving onto W. Broadway. Witness honked horn but Chevy didn’t stop. Owner requested charges to be filed for hit and run. 

Report of a burglary when items were moved to a new residence.  

Report of a vehicle and pedestrian traffic accident. Victim claimed minor injury but was cleared by the Moses Lake Fire Department.  

Report of loud music in the 1700 block of W. Virginia Street. Reporting party advised neighbor plays music very loud, causing her windows to rattle and she works from home.  Reporting party said she has asked neighbor to lower music, but refuses and will turn the music up. At the time of the call, the reporting party advised she had texted her neighbor and he said he was leaving to go on his boat. Music had been turned off at the time of her calling. Police told the neighbor to call when the music occurred again, and contact could be made with her neighbor. 

Report of a person yelling. A fight occurred and reporting party pulled suspect off his neighbor. Suspect went after reporting party and reporting party pulled his concealed firearm in self-defense. No one wanted to press charges. Suspect was intoxicated and admitted to fracturing his right band before incident.  

Report of snake inside convenience store. Snake was in the beverage cooler, removed from store and relocated to nearby field.  

Report on two subjects in store on N. Stratford Road with knife and machete. Female suspect had machete which was seized for safekeeping.  

Report of physical altercations between neighbors. No charges requested. 

Aug. 3 

Report of overdose in front of a business on N. Stratford Road. Narcan administered. Medics arrived and provided medical care. Subject woke up and left. 

Report of overdose on walking path on N. Stratford Road. Friends gave female subject Narcan. TSubject was unconscious but breathing upon arrival. Subject refused medical treatment.  

Report of juvenile claiming he lost his dark brown wallet. Juvenile said wallet had school ID, Cash App card, and mother’s credit card.  

Reports of a two-vehicle collision. Reporting party advised he was inside his residence in the 1400 block of S. Skyline Drive with friends and heard a crash. Reporting party stated his pickup truck, unoccupied and parked, was struck by a Toyota Prius. Prius continued on Skyline and traveled west on W. Nelson. Reporting party stated he followed the Prius in another vehicle. Prius stopped on S. Division Street. Prius driver, Bianca B. Young, admitted to consuming alcohol and was arrested and later released for DUI.  

Report of a first-degree burglary. Suspect located at different location and booked into Grant County Jail.  

Report of right passenger door of a Cadillac striking the left passenger side front tire wheel well of a parked pickup, leaving a small red paint smudge on the pickup. Information exchanged between parties. 

Report of past tenants coming to residence to gather belongings and take dishwasher from residence. Landlord wanted subjects trespassed from property. Landlord advised both subjects to arrive at the house together and left together. Dispatch advised there was a valid court order restraining female from contacting the male. 

Report of party losing his wallet at Cascade Park the day prior. Black wallet with reporting party’s driver’s license, forklift certified card, CPR identification card, three or four debit cards inside. Police advised reporting party to cancel cards and report the issue if he notices bank activity. 

Report on the subject of a handgun and an argument taking place. Suspect was booked for first-degree assault.  

Report of physical domestic at in the 800 block of West Broadway Avenue. Dispatch said the parties had separated. Witnesses stated a male subject was fighting with a female subject in the parking lot. Male arrested and booked for fourth-degree assault – domestic violence.  

Report of suspect harassing employees at business on S. Pioneer Way. Suspect was permanently trespassed from business. Suspect returned and continued to harass staff. Suspect left the building when asked by an employee. Suspect was contacted again and notified that trespassing charges will be forwarded to prosecutors.  

Aug. 4 

Report of hit and run at a business on N. Stratford Road. There is pending video surveillance. Suspect identified and interviewed by the Royal City Police Department. Collision and criminal report to follow.  

Report of female throwing items in a store on N. Stratford Road. Female contacted and did not leave. Female was arrested and booked.  

Report of suspect digging through dumpster at a business on N. Stratford Road. Reporting party asked for the suspect to be trespassed.  

Report of unknown suspect(s) entering reporting party’s unlocked vehicle taking misc. Tools.  

Reporting party’s girlfriend trespassing and reporting party requested her removal. Girlfriend found to have assaulted the reporting party and was later transported and booked into Grant County Jail for fourth-degree assault – domestic violence.  

Report of a male individual apparently doing drugs at business. Police responded and contacted individual who was no longer on the property. Reporting party requested the individual be trespassed. Police trespassed individual and he refused to sign and acknowledge trespass form.  

Report of a collision. Vehicle one attempted to make a U-turn and was rear ended by vehicle two which was following to close. Police unable to determine fault driver. 

Report of jet ski fire. Officers arrived and put out fire with extinguisher.  

Report on a physical domestic at the residence on Highland Drive E. Police contacted individuals involved. Police found probable cause to arrest the male individual. Male individual was booked into Grant County Jail. 

Report of two suspects urinating in bushes in public area on S. Hill Avenue.  

Report of hit and run at business on N. Stratford Road. Reporting party said his vehicle was parked for work and he noticed damage to the vehicle after shift. Other vehicle involved is unknown and has not been found. 

Report of two suspects stealing $1,000 worth of merchandise at business on N. Stratford Road. Suspects were found after leaving the property and charged.  

Aug. 5 

Suspect arrested on a Grant County District Court warrant after being contacted for trespassing at a business on N. Central Drive.  

Report of suspect kicking window at a local bank. Suspect booked into Grant County Jail for second-degree burglary and second-degree malicious mischief.  

Report of male outside banging on the windows trying to get in building on E. Third Avenue. Police contacted male who was previously trespassed. Police did not find a signed form. Police had individual sign trespass form and he left property. 

Report of boat found on Westshore Drive down at reporting party’s dock. Police advised dispatch the call would be for Grant County.  

Report unknown suspect(s) broke bathroom window and entered residence. Reporting party advised bathroom mirrors taken, couch, coffee table, and several other items stolen. Reporting party advised the fridge that was taken was possibly next door. 

Reports of individuals yelling loudly and asking for help disturbing customers. Police responded and contacted an individual. Individual stated he was fine and did not want to talk to the police. Police informed reporting party of information. 

Report of traffic collision on Third Avenue. Police responded and contacted individuals involved. Vehicle one turned westbound onto Third Avenue and veered into inside lane striking vehicle two. Vehicles were not required to be towed. No injuries reported. 

Report of someone breaking into reporting party’s house and stealing her dog. Police advised her that dog jumped out of the window and was in the area. Police located dog and returned it. 

Report of vehicle burgrlary. Ammo can with 9 mm rounds and a silver and black Glock 43 were taken from vehicle. No signs of forced entry observed.  Reporting party advised vehicle should have been unlocked.  

Report of juvenile subject taking several single tall cans of alcohol from convenience store without paying. Juvenile ran out with the stolen items and into S. Alderwood Drive. Officers checked area and were unable to locate juvenile. Officers were able to identify suspect. 

Report of male suspect inside of store who was previously trespassed. Upon investigation, male suspect was not trespassed and was trespassed on this contact. Suspect arrested on outstanding felony warrant and booked into Grant County Jail. 

Ephrata PD 

Aug. 1 

Report of possible theft in 1100 block of A Street SE. Reporting party said suspect was in his fenced area. Suspect fled, last seen eastbound on Smith Avenue. 

Aug. 2 


Report of ducks on roadway causing hazard. Area checked and no ducks were found.  


Report of man on the ridge behind the church digging a hole. Upon contact the suspect said he was raking the rocks. The police told the suspect he could not be on the property.  


Report of a theft at business on SE Boulevard. Suspect said she couldn’t afford to buy things to do crafts with her mom. Suspect also had two bags of groceries she did not pay for. Suspect admitted to taking the items. Suspect trespassed from business for five years. 


Report of collision. Vehicle one was going southbound on Basin Street SW and was attempting to make an eastbound turn but was stuck waiting on traffic. A citizen gave him a chance to turn. Vehicle one made a left-hand turn and struck vehicle two. Vehicle two was northbound on the right-hand turn lane on Basin Street southwest.  


Aug. 3 


Report of a fraudulent $100 bill at a business on Nat Washington Way.  


Report of cold theft. Four female suspects going around store filling up carts. Women would take turns taking carts out to the vehicle. About $1,500 worth of merchandise taken.  

Aug. 4 

Report of vehicle fire. Vehicle caught fire while owner was driving. Vehicle was fully engulfed upon arrival. Ephrata Fire Department extinguished fire and vehicle was towed. Owner given ride back to Soap Lake.  


Report of suspect trespassing. Reporting party said suspect was living in parking lot behind his residence. Police told suspect that she had until evening or risk tow. Suspect said she was waiting for gas.  


Report of suspicious person. Reporting party said it was a possible vehicle prowl. Suspect said he was locked out his vehicle. Police ran suspect and vehicle and the information suspect provided was accurate.  


Aug. 5 


Report of a suspect entering a business that he had priorly trespassed from. The suspect was cited for first-degree criminal trespassing and released. 


Report of a cold vehicle prowl in the 100 block of F Street Northeast. Reporting party advised her daughter's friend to stay over at the reporting party’s house. Reporting party said the victim's vehicle was broken into overnight. An Apple iPad and a duffle bag full of makeup were stolen. 


Report of a traffic violation in the 100 block of Fourth Avenue Northwest. Reporting party advised subject vehicle had been parked in front of her business for over seven days. Reporting party advised the SV did not have a front or rear license plate. 


Report of a cold burglary in the 300 block of D St. NW. Reporting party advised male suspect entered his home through the reporting party’s front window. Further investigation revealed male suspect is reporting the party's girlfriends' son. Reporting party only wished for male suspect to be trespassed from the reporting party’s address.Aug. 6 


Report of cold vehicle prowl in1200 block of Yakima Street SE. Reporting party said someone stole vehicle key, house key, wallet, driver’s license and debit and credit cards out of vehicle overnight. 


Report of cold harassment. Reporting party wanted to report ongoing issues with ex and ex’s girlfriend. Reporting party said the girlfriend would not stop harassing reporting party and would send multiple messages over Facebook messenger.


Report of theft at business. Female suspect swapped price tags on high price items for smaller price tags.  


Aug. 7 


Report of argument and firearm mentioned at Lions Park. Reporting party not there on police arrival. Parties contacted and denied altercations and firearms. Suspects told to behave while using community areas. Call later reopened that same suspects were now yelling obscene words. Suspects contacted again and strongly advised to respect public areas.

Rashall Lynn Deluz, 34, Moses Lake, booked on fourth-degree assault – domestic violence.  


August 3 


Jennifer Cardenas, 23, Mattawa, booked on DUI, hit and run and reckless endangerment.  


Angel Delarosa Martinez, 23, Royal City, booked on a hit and run causing injury, resisting arrest and DUI.  


August 5 


Michael Ray Espinoza, 30, Moses Lake, booked on third-degree malicious misconduct and criminal trespassing. 


Steven Copper Smallwood, 34, Moses Lake, booked on second-degree criminal trespassing.  


Jamie Lee Schafer, 30, Warden, booked on resisting arrest and a DUI.  


Milher Moreno Lopez, 23, Warden, booked on second-degree assault – domestic violence. 


Ronald James Keeler, 46, Moses Lake, booked on six warrants from Grant County District Court, and third-degree theft.  


Cristopher Estrada Rojas, 33, Warden, booked on fourth-degree assault – domestic violence. 


Eli Jaime Moncada, 34, Moses Lake, booked on a violation of a domestic violence no contact order.

Edward Gonzales, 59, Moses Lake, booked on fourth-degree assault – domestic violence.
