COLUMBIA BASIN — The weather may be warm, but that’s no reason to stay home. Here are some things seniors might enjoy going to this month. 

Aug. 8 

S’more Fun 

Family and friends of McKay Healthcare are invited to a sweet outdoor adventure. S’mores, drinks, yard games and fire pit fun. 5 p.m. at McKay Healthcare Center, 127 Second Ave., Soap Lake. Info: 509-754-4596. 

Aug. 9

Cowboy Breakfast  

Kick off Grant County Fair week with the Cowboy Breakfast and Pee Wee Stampede. Biscuits and gravy, eggs and coffee, plus a stick horse rodeo for the kids. $12 for adults and $10 for children under 12. 7 a.m. at Sinkiuse Square in downtown Moses Lake. Hot Desert Nights

Aug. 12 & 19  

Free bingo  

Get ready to shout "bingo!" and win some amazing prizes at this fun-filled event. Grant County Fair

Line dance lessons

Ritzville Summer Festival

CBHA Run for a Cause

Wheat Land Communities Fair

Community Resource Fair
