Quincy pharmacy searched by federal agencies

QUINCY — Officers from a number of federal agencies conducted a search at a Quincy pharmacy, and at a second location owned by the same people in East Wenatchee, Wednesday afternoon.

Steve Bernd, public affairs for the Federal Bureau of Investigation office in Seattle, said there was a visit to the Washington Pharmacy, 918 23th Ave. SE in Quincy, and the Washington Valley pharmacy in East Wenatchee.

“We conducted court authorized law enforcement activity at that location,” Bernd wrote in response to a question from the Columbia Basin Herald.

A spokesman with the Seattle office of the Drug Enforcement Agency said it’s an active and ongoing investigation. A person who answered the phone at the Washington Valley Pharmacy declined to comment.
