More tools on the way to combat catalytic converter theft in Washington
Catalytic converters like this one may have a bit of road grime on them, but inside they use precious metals to change exhaust into water. They are often targeted for theft and sold to recyclers who extract the metal. A new law will work to mitigate the issue.
