Juan Victor Rocha

| April 12, 2024 11:23 AM

Juan Victor Rocha, 66, of Moses Lake, Wash., succumbed to his battle with cancer. Victor passed April 8, 2024, at Samaritan Hospital. He was surrounded by his loved ones.

Victor was born March 5, 1958, in Dilley, Texas. He was the son of the late Victor Sr. and Manuela Rocha. Victor's family moved to Moses Lake in 1970.

From the very beginning, Victor was a true fan of the Seattle Seahawks. He had a passion for all types of music, especially Tejano music. He was a fan, and very proud of, his primo’s (cousin’s) local band, Tejano Skyz. His all-time favorite singer was Selena (we can still hear him singing). He was famous for asking us trivia questions and playing April Fools jokes on us. Every year we would anticipate and prepare for that call April 1, but no matter what, he got us. In his younger years, Victor had a profound love for playing pool and was so proud of his championship wins.

Victor and his twin Tony were inseparable. Tio Tony was always there to help his brother with whatever he needed. Whether it was going to the gas station to get him a six-pack of beer, cooking, or working to keep his lawn nice and green. Tio Tony was a big part of his brother's life. At a young age, Victor married Sylvia Meza. They had two beautiful daughters. Alveisa and Melinda Rocha.

Victor is survived by his daughters, Alveisa (Spencer) and Melinda (Noland), along with three grandsons Steven, Victor, and Damian; one granddaughter Iva, and a great granddaughter Azaliah; his brothers, Tony (his twin), Abel, Nino and Lupe Rocha; and nephews, nieces and many cousins.

He was such a caring man. He never left out his daughter’s half-sister Sabrina (Bill) Bagwell and their two children Xzavier and Lena.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Victor Rocha Sr. and Manuela Rocha, and three brothers Benito, Alex, and Merce as well as his primo, Jesse Rocha.

A special thank-you to our tios Tony and Abel for helping take care of him and staying by his side during his admirable fight.

A private family viewing will be held (for immediate family only) at Kayser’s Chapel and Crematory between 1 and 3 p.m. Friday, April 26.

A luncheon for additional family members and friends will follow the viewing. The luncheon will be located at 1206 E. Wheeler Road, Moses Lake, Wash., from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m.
