Judy Cloninger

| September 28, 2023 12:17 PM

Judy Ann Cloninger, 63, of Ephrata, Wash., passed Sept. 15, 2023. She was born in Everett, Wash., in 1960.

Judy was well-known and loved for having a warm and open heart. She always put the needs of her friends and family before her own. There was always room at her dinner table, and she could never let anyone go hungry.

A light in the dark. Though she fought more than her share of battles in this life, she was always present for those who needed her. Her hardships taught her the true value of kindness and generosity.

She was everybody’s ‘other mother.’

Judy taught us to love the unloved things in this weary world and to not cause undue suffering to even the smallest of creatures. She was delighted to find and collect antiques from every nook in her life’s ever-winding path.

Forever a barefoot wild child.

Judy was a very spiritual woman, she felt free and at home in nature; she loved to fish and camp with loved ones. She could often be found reading her books or writing poetry when she had a quiet moment.

Judy loved to make people laugh and was well-known for her quick-witted humor and practical jokes.

She will be missed by many and loved by so many more.

Judy leaves behind two sons Raymond and Kevin Gardner, sister Cheryl Roberts, brothers Mike, Brian, Ron Wenz, and Curtis Cloninger, and stepmother Janice Cloninger along with grandchildren she loved so much and the many friends and neighbors in the Ephrata area.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marilyn Wenz and Joe Cloninger, and stepfather Don Wenz.

Arrangements are under the care of Nicoles Funeral Home, Ephrata, Wash. Please leave your thoughts and memories for the family at www. nicolesfuneralhome.com.
