THE CITY OF OTHELLO IS ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR 2024 TOURISM PROMOTION PROJECTS IN THE CITY Each year the City receives funds from lodging room tax imposed upon the hotels/motels within the City. These funds can be expended as established by State law (RCW 67.28.1815). To be considered for funding, your organization must meet one of the following criteria: • Tourism marketing • Marketing and operations of special events and festivals • Operations of tourism-related facilities owned or operated by nonprofit organizations The Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC) will review each proposed application and the organization will be contacted if their application meets the qualifications. “NOTICE OF SPECIAL BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING A special meeting of the NCW Libraries Board of Trustees is being called on September 21, 2023, from 11am – 1pm. The meeting will be held at the NCW Libraries Administrative Offices, located at 16 N. Columbia St., Wenatchee. The purpose of the special meeting is to discuss strategic planning for NCW Libraries. Request for Proposals The Fairgrounds is seeking proposals for the operation of food booths on the Grant County Fairgrounds. Currently there are two booths on the grounds open for operation in 2024 by both for-profit and non-profit organizations. The period for operation will be January 1, 2024 through December 31 2024.Proposals for operation must include: A summary of past similar business operations. Copy of Grant County Business License. A menu of food with pricing. An operation plan outlining when and how the booth will be used. A copy of insurance with limits as required by the Fairgrounds and customer testimonials if available. An Application form is available on the Fairgrounds website, gcfairgrounds.com Operators of food booths will be responsible for all equipment in the booth for the purposes of Food sales. The Fairgrounds will be responsible for the infrastructure of the building including power, water, sewer, and building exterior. All sales through the food booths will be charged a 20% commission if for profit and 15% commission with valid non-profit paperwork, plus applicable garbage and electrical fees. Proposals must be submitted to the Fairgrounds Director, 3953 Airway Drive NE, Moses Lake, WA 98837 no later than October 13, 2023 at 3:30 p.m.. A lease must be signed by November 3, 2023, at 3:30 p.m. and is available for review by contacting the Fairgrounds Director, Jim McKiernan at jcmckiernan@grantcountywa.gov. Leases will run from January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2027 for profit booths and through December 31, 2026 for non-profit booths. A Concessions contract must also be signed by November 3, 2023 at 3:30 p.m. or the proposal will be considered null and void. The Concessions contract will run from January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2024. Copies of the Concessions Contract are available for review by contacting the Fairgrounds Director, Jim McKiernan at jcmckiernan@grantcountywa.gov. If the Lease or Concessions contracts are not signed by the specified date the lease option and subsequent operation would go to the next qualified operator or the Board of County Commissioners can choose to not lease the facility.
