Robert Murdock

Robert G. "Bud" Murdock, born Nov. 13, 1925, in Richmond Beach, Wash., passed away Aug. 7, 2023, at the age of 97.

Robert joined the Navy in 1943 and was honorably discharged in 1946. He worked for the South Columbia Basin Irrigation District, Wahluke Branch for many years until his retirement in 1991.

He spent much of his retirement woodworking, exploring old ghost towns and fishing, which was his passion.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Nadine Murdock, in 2016. He is survived by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, a nephew and his beloved sidekick, "Cat.”

"Rest now, Grampa," 'til Jesus comes, then you will have new places to explore, old and new faces to greet and maybe even a cat or two.

Services will be held in the spring and will be announced once finalized.
