WASHINGTON DEPARTMENT OF ECOLOGY NOTICE OF 30-DAY PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD FOR A PROPOSED AIR POLLUTION SOURCE Simplot U.S. Food Group Holdings, LLC – Rainier Plant 2107 Road O NE Moses Lake, WA 98837 Para asistencia en español: preguntas@ecy.wa.gov Simplot U.S. Food Group Holdings, LLC – Rainier Plant (Simplot Rainier) is proposing to construct a new potato processing facility in Moses Lake. Simplot - Rainier plans to install a wet electrostatic precipitator to control particulate matter from fryer equipment and sulfur controls for the biogas produced from their process water digester. Emission increases from this project include 33.6 tons per year of nitrogen oxides, 56.3 tons per year carbon monxide, 17.6 tons per year particulate matter, and 89.8 tons per year volatile organic compounds. Ecology determined this proposal satisfies the requirements of Chapter 173-400 of the Washington Administrative Code and invites the public to comment.
